The Saona Crusoe VIP, a guided tour to the Island of Saona.
With this Punta Cana Excursion we leave from Bayahibe and we proceed per speedboat along the coastline of the national park until we reach the rocks of Penon, once home of the Tainos Indians. When lucky we can see iguanas here, they can grow to two feet long. On the way to the island of Saona we stop at the Piscina Natural, the natural swimming pool, a large sand bank which is well known for the indigenous starfish. After a stay of thirty minutes we go into the Mangrove forests. We might see frigate birds and pelicans here.
The next stop is Mano Juan, the fishermen village on Saona Island with three hundred inhabitants. You have time to visit the village or to swim from the nice beach. The guide takes you on a village tour and shows you how the people live with very limited resources. We enjoy a barbecue on the beach, with smoked fish, meat, various salads, rice and French bread. We will also show you our sea turtle conservation project and you might be able to hold a baby turtle.
We then take you to the highlight of the excursion, the untouched Caribbean beach of Canto de la Playa. You will have the complete afternoon for relaxing on the beach, swimming and enjoying this paradise, with amazing sea life. You will have the chance to snorkel from the beach in the beautiful untouched coral gardens.
Late afternoon we return to Bayahibe. If you like to have more information about this Punta Cana Excursion, go to http://www.seavisbayahibe.c...
