Video Marketing Tips For Businesses. How to generate leads from videos
In this video I provide some video marketing tips for businesses.
The fact that you're watching or just listening to this video is an indication that you're aware of the importance of video marketing.
If you want to know some basic facts and how to get started with video marketing then stick with me for a few minutes while I explain.
You'll hear all kinds of statistics about the growing use of video online. For example, there are estimates that 80% of all web traffic is now video, and that a large proportion of consumers will lose interest in your brand if you don't have videos explaining your products or services.
Good quality videos are an asset that can keep working for you, long after you've published them. The fact is that you need videos; whether it's to promote your brand, market your products, or obtain leads for the services you're selling.
It doesn't matter whether you're a sole trader or a major company, video marketing is an essential way of reaching your prospective customers and clients.
The good news is that it's relatively easy to create videos that look effective and professional on a variety of platforms, as long as you take the time to learn how to use the software and perform all the required tweaks to optimise them for searches and your particular chosen market.
Larger businesses probably have the resources to create their videos in-house but small to medium sized businesses may need to outsource the task.
And it's likely that half of all the people who view your videos will do so using a mobile device, so the video needs to be designed with this in mind.
What type of video should I use for my business?
The answer to this depends entirely on the purpose of your video.
You might make a video that features you, your company, and any employees, with shots of the location and people on camera, or you might make a video that explains and perhaps demonstrates your products and services.
You could start a YouTube channel and start adding explainer videos that demonstrate to customers how to best use your products.
Some companies are now adopting the practice of embedding videos in the online documentation to save customers the time and effort of reading and absorbing all the text descriptions.
Or you can create video collections that answer common questions, like a video version of the FAQ page on your website.
These explanations in video format not only save your customers time but will ultimately reduce the amount of time your own staff spend answering questions.
Your customer will appreciate the 'show me how' videos, and it builds customer loyalty. Many of the blog posts that have been on your website for months or perhaps years could be given a new lease of life as a video.
Properly optimised, any of these could start to rank in YouTube and in turn they will draw traffic to your videos and new subscribers to your channel.
