Since its launch in Dec. 2013, the AllSeen Alliance has united industry leaders with a shared vision, a common language and a collaborative path to advance the Internet of Everything.
The AllSeen Alliance framework is based on the AllJoyn open source project, and will be expanded with contributions from member companies and the open source community. Products, applications and services created with the AllJoyn open source project can communicate over various transport layers, such as Wi-Fi, power line or Ethernet, regardless of manufacturer or operating system and without the need for Internet access. Here are some examples of AllJoyn's integration with the AllSeen member community.
AllSeen Alliance Chair Liat Ben-Zur spoke at the Linux Foundation's Collaboration Summit about the importance of open source in advancing the Internet of Everything.
