Daughters of Mary Immaculate (͞DMI) is an apolstolic union of women founded as a society of women devoted to helping women. Its focus is on socio-economic development of the poor and needy. Spring of Hope, the shelter for trafficked girls, is one of several programs that DMI operates in poor and rural areas of east Africa. It operates medical clinics, AIDs treatment centers for mothers and children, and women’s empowerment groups in Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia and South Sudan. DMI is one of the last aid groups still working to combat famine in South Sudan.

DMI focuses on providing services to the downtrodden, the marginalized, and the poor, especially woman and girls. Its services include community based health care, women and children development, microfinance and socio-economic empowerment, food security, job and skills training.
