In this video I wanted to show you how to squat right. To squat with proper form isn’t an easy thing. If you have ever been in a gym, it’s likely that you’ve seen men squatting badly.
That’s not to say that there aren’t women squatting incorrectly but men seem to be the worst culprits. For that reason, I commend you for watching this video.
If you have watched this video and have taken the time to read this than you are safely on your journey of learning how to squat properly. I show you the best way to squat when performing the squat exercise.
The most important thing is to always work on your flexibility. You want to be comfortable in a full squat position. It is important to build up the amount of time you can spend in a deep squat if you want proper squat form!
It’s not just the flexibility in your ankles, knees and hips that you need to improve. It is also the flexibility in your upper back and shoulders. In fact, it’s not so much the flexibility you need in your upper back, it is actually strength you need there.
The reason for this is that the position of your lower back is largely dependent on the posture you have in your upper back. In other words, if your upper back is rounded than your lower back is likely to round to.
If your lower back is badly rounded it could lead to lower back pain and even injury. The same can also be said about lack of flexibility in the front or back of your Thai’s.
Tight hamstrings can also cause your back to round if they are too tight. This is because they attach to the bottom of your pelvis and can pull your pelvis down causing your spine to arch.
If you have watched this squat video, you should have learned proper form for squats. So now that you know how to squat with proper form you now have to do a squat workout to put everything into practice.
Enjoy your training and let me know how you’re going
