Excuse Me Bartender, Rossoblu's Morning Old Fashioned
You may think an Old Fashioned is a hardcore way to start a morning but not if 1) it's a Saturday and 2) it's this Old Fashioned variation by Bar Director Brynn Smith of Rossoblu. She uses Whistlepig 10 year, Whistlepig maple syrup and Bonollo Amaro OF for a day-friendly sipper. Here, I bug her for her recipe so we can all make it for our loved ones' breakfast in bed...or just for our own lazy Saturday/Sunday.
Morning Old Fashioned

1.5 oz Whistlepig 10 year
0.5 oz Whistlepig rye barrel-aged maple syrup
0.75 oz Bonollo Amaro OF
Stir together in an ice-filled mixing glass for 10-15 seconds. Strain onto an ice cube in an Old Fashioned glass. Garnish with a sfrappole.
