At the moment we are working on some interesting projects in our studio with great people, who inspire us a lot!
1.Tom Kolijn made a video for our new song 'I send you kisses'.
2.For author Elfie Tromp we made music for her performance with Bas Kosters.
3-5For authors Toon Tellegen and Benji Davis, we made the music for the digital versions (apps) of their books, made by developer Yip Yip.
6.In the project that we did with the help of the Rotterdam Archive, we perform our music live during a screening of experimental films made by Andor von Barsy. The films are made in the city of Rotterdam in the 1920's, before the citycenter was bombed in the war.
From October 2015 untill the summer of 2017 Half Way Station toured internationally with their second official album "DODO". In some shows, Rotterdam based rapper Dox appeared as a guest in their live shows and wrote additional lyrics to the songs.
Half Way Station (psychedelic folkpop, Rotterdam, Netherlands) recorded their third album "DODO" on Domaine Le Vallon in the South of France. They used the natural reverbs of the rooms in their recordings. So the sound of the house, became the sound of the album. After the release on 10th of October 2015, they toured in the Netherlands (a.o. Oerol, Metropolis Festival), France (a.o. winner of Génération Reservoir, Paris), Italy and Germany (a.o. Reeperbahn Festival). Vocals/bas: Elma Plaisier | guitar: Rikke Korswagen | Piano/synth: Mink Steekelenburg | drums: Bart Hoogvliet

'Moonshine' (2012) is the official debut album of the band Half Way Station (psychedelic folk, Rotterdam, Netherlands) that was published on the Dutch indielabel Excelsior Recordings. The music on the album could be described as 'dark psychedelic indiefolk'.
In 2009 the road towards the band called Half Way Station started off. Rikke and Elma formed a duo playing guitar, banjo and a homemade washtub-bass, and around them musicians with all kinds of instruments gathered. Nadia Sardjoe on violin and Benjamin Schaipp travelled along for quite a while. They played anywhere and literally on anything. The very first album they made (never officially released, they call it a 'pre-album') had no title, but has the name 'Half Way Station' on it.
