Back in April, we went to Egypt to build urban farms on the rooftops of Cairo.
Rooftop farming using a technique called Hydroponics can help crowded urban environments with food production at a cheaper price than the market with pesticides free produce.
We documented all of this adventure. From why we decided to undertake this project in the first place, to how and with who we worked to make it come to life. We wanted to share the challenges that we faced during this whole thing, and here it is!
We believe that we can help and do our part, no matter how big or small our contribution is in the end. It's all about helping the person next to us. We hope you'll enjoy diving with us in the heart of Cairo and that our message will resonate with you and that you will somehow get inspired.
Thanks to our main partner, Schaduf, for helping us executing our vision. Schaduf is the Egyptian leader in hydroponics and rooftop farming, and they have been featured in numerous publications and news such as CNN.https://schaduf.com/
