I had a little bit of a problem during the night. On returning to my vehicle during a storm, I found that the skylight had been damaged by the wind and was open. I was unable to close it from inside and I was unable to get onto the roof to close it as the skylight above the bed was too small to pass through.
Fortunately only this week I had acquired a new skylight for my vehicle from the German company MPK. I had the rear skylight exchanged for the broken one and now I have a brand new window above my bed.
Maybe only another motorhomer can understand what it is to get excited about skylights! The new window lets lots of light through which really changes the interior of the van. Furthermore, it is wide enough for me to get through so now I can sit on the roof again as well as get onto the roof to clean the solar panels.
The MPK skylight is used in the new LMC van which was introduced this week which I think is called the Breezer. I think it is also used in the Clou liner from Niesmann and Bischoff. It certain has more elegance than the rest of the interior of my motorhome and it is nice to know that I have something which Niesmann and Bischoff are also using!
As you can see, I am very pleased with the new window!
