Chasing the Dream

Chasing the Dream: Poverty and Opportunity in America is a NY Emmy and Webby nominated cross-platform public media initiative from WNET in New York reporting the human stories of income inequality, poverty, and opportunity-- and showcasing innovative solutions. Our goal is to better inform with facts that go beyond personal biases, media narratives, and presumptions about the American Dream.

Reporting and distributing content since 2014, Chasing the Dream has produced more than 650 reports across every platform of public media on-air and online – including national documentaries in collaboration with FRONTLINE and WORLD Channel, news reports on the PBS NewsHour and NewsHour Weekend, in-depth interviews on Amanpour and Company, regional reporting on Thirteen and PBS Member stations across the country, WNYC public radio, and NY Emmy and Webby nominated digital series.
