out for the first timeand i was pretty happy about that but atsome point i just felt like well virtualbox probablylike not the best tool to use for thatit's just my experience that virtualboxwas not very suitable for thatso i installed this one in vmware fusionon macand it was working great except onethingsound card as you can see this is theconfiguration file firmwaresound card set to sound blaster 16 soprobably you just need to customize it alittle bit more and probably will beable to use it just fine but for somereason i don't know the sound carddoesn'twork but the video driver is just fineso i was able to allocate 256 megabytesof memoryof video memory to the vmware and i wasable to allocate4gb of ram to arc os and this is themaximum because it's a 32-bit operatingsystem so let's actually go ahead andcheck this outfirst of all talking about resolution ifwe go here if you go to the screen sothis is the resolution i have right hereand this is the panorama driver so ifyou want some goodresolution install the panorama driver imean there's not much options butpanorama driver is good so this is thescreen resolution and it'sjust fine i mean i actually starting tolove this os i should say the last timewe've been trying this one it felt likea little bit off but right now i'm juststarting to like it uh the only thingthat i changed is that luckily sobasically luckily i said this one torussianthe reason why i said this one torussian is that basically i wantedapplications to support russian languagerussian the khalid because remember thisis the osfrom before 2000 basically which meansthere's unicode support but fornon-unicode application it still relieson that old kind of code pages and allthat so that's whyi just said look at it russian itactually brought some wayto control the processes with one otheroption for example if you open theterminal sessionand if you press top you're able to seethe list of processorslike this and you're just able tomanipulate those as well i mean this iscool right guysas i said i'm just starting to love thisos the first thing i wanted to show youis the youtube playback because iremember i kind of discussed this one inthe modernfor the archos os2 let's go ahead andcheck out the applications that we haveright here so if we open the programsinstalled applicationswhat we're going to see so the first onefor example this one this is thecalculatorand this is actually quite a coolcalculator i mean it looks nice i meanit's like it feels something from thatold times i don't know from 90s i know ijust like it oh it's written on rex andrex as far as i know it's just like somescripting languagefor the os2 slash archois and by the wayall those apps havenice manuals for example remember likebefore the internet there was likelots of manuals floating around and youlike you don't have much uhinformation around the web you just likewas relying on those tutorials anotherthing that we have hereis the audience and odin as you rememberi think i covered this one a little bitin the previous videos about os2it's just basically something like wineit's like a simulation layer whichallows you to runwin 32 applications on
