just</text><text start="125.68" dur="5.52">download the zip file containing</text><text start="128" dur="4.16">the uh necessary things it's a lot</text><text start="131.2" dur="2.24">just</text><text start="194.159" dur="3.44">on the first run it takes longer on the</text><text start="195.92" dur="2.72">second run everything's in place and it</text><text start="214.879" dur="2.481">there we go</text><text start="217.519" dur="4.72">and there's a menu entry it does say</text><text start="219.92" dur="4.08">that you should really start it dur="5.36">makes a menu entry</text><text start="227.84" dur="7.679">so we'll just do that and there we go</text><text start="231.28" dur="8.8">google chrome is running on freebsd</text><text start="235.519" dur="7.201">so uh get started and skip</text><text start="240.08" dur="5.359">if i can remember and yeah we'll just</text><text start="242.72" dur="2.719">leave it at that</text><text start="248.879" dur="3.121">and skip again</text><text start="253.439" dur="3.52">set that as default actually just in</text><text start="255.04" dur="6.319">case</text><text start="256.959" dur="7.361">and no thank you and there we go</text><text start="261.359" dur="4.321">so the question that you will ask is</text><text start="264.32" dur="3.68">will it run netflix</text><text start="265.68" dur="3.6">and yes it does well no i'll just sign</text><text start="268" dur="2.72">in</text><text start="269.28" dur="3.44">after i've signed and put the details</text><text start="270.72" dur="3.199">there it is i'm not going to um</text><text start="272.72" dur="4.08">i'm not going to run anything because i</text><text start="273.919" dur="5.601">get a copyright claim or a strike</text><text start="276.8" dur="4.04">but there you go there's the full gamut</text><text start="279.52" dur="4.72">of</text><text start="280.84" dur="5.72">netflix and there's a preview</text><text start="284.24" dur="4.8">and that's all we're gonna do so it</text><text start="286.56" dur="6.96">works perfectly well</text><text start="289.04" dur="8.8">fully functional and very fast actually</text><text start="293.52" dur="6.239">so we'll just open a new tab</text><text start="297.84" dur="3.68">and as you can see i've already tested</text><text start="299.759" dur="4.561">the</text><text start="301.52" dur="4.48">the drm before we got going so to show</text><text start="304.32" dur="4.24">you again that they are in players</text><text start="306" dur="3.12">this uh little demo here is detected</text><text start="308.56" dur="2.88">using</text><text start="309.12" dur="2.32">vine</text><text start="315.44" dur="3.84">and we'll leave the resolution as it is</text><text start="318" dur="4.88">i think</text><text start="319.28" dur="5.52">and as you can see it plays well</text><text start="322.88" dur="3.28">so perfectly happy with that i'm not</text><text start="324.8" dur="4.399">gonna</text><text start="326.16" start="334.72" dur="3.36">bit of wide range support in freebsd</text><text start="337.28" dur="4.4">using the</text><text start="338.08" dur="4.72">the linux way it would be better if we</text><text start="341.68" dur="2.4">had a native but</text><text start="342.8" dur="3.36">that's not going to happen and that's</text><text start="344.08" dur="4.88">really down to google</text><text start="346.16" dur="4.319">now if we try and install brave it's the</text><text start="348.96" dur="3.28">same procedure as before with this whole</text><text start="350.479" dur="5.28">brave at the end</text><text start="352.24" dur="3.519">and it is a lot quicker this time</text><text start="358.16" dur="4.56">there we go and here we are in the brave</text><text start="362.08" dur="2.64">browser</text><text start="362.72" dur="3.52">like i said in the nomad bsd video which</text><text start="364.72" dur="4.24">i covered the same topics</text><text start="366.24" dur="3.2">uh this is not one that i use at all so</text><text start="368.96" dur="1.76">um</text><text start="369.44" dur="3.28">i don't know the ins and outs can i</text><text start="383.199" dur="6.081">access netflix uh or drm</text><text start="386.8" dur="4.16">you know widevine via any other browser</text><text start="389.28" dur="3.44">other than google chrome</text><text start="390.96" dur="4.64">but so we'll have a look we'll just do</text><text start="392.72" dur="6.56">the wide vine test</text><text start="395.6" dur="5.039">and agree again so we're going to test</text><text start="399.28" dur="4.56">it on the same one</text><text start="400.639" dur="3.761">and there's a little bit more yeah it's</text><text start="403.84" dur="4.479">not if i</text><text start="404.4" dur="6.48">need to install like that and again uh</text><text start="408.319" dur="2.561">just like that</text><text start="412.479" dur="5.28">restarts and yeah</text><text start="416.4" dur="4">it's plain so yes you don't have to</text><text start="417.759" dur="4.801">watch netflix presumably</text><text start="420.4" dur="3.919">uh in google chrome if you don't want to</text><text start="422.56" dur="5.199">it should work in brave</text><text start="424.319" dur="6.32">and we'll have a look at the top</text><text start="427.759" dur="4.961">make sure there's no runaway processors</text><text start="430.639" dur="3.921">if it looks fine</text><text start="432.72" dur="3.28">so now what we're going to do is we're</text><text start="434.56" dur="5.039">going to install</text><text start="436" dur="3.919">vivaldi i think in the future i think</text><text start="439.599" dur="2.241">the</text><text start="439.919" dur="3.68">the range of browsers may increase no</text><text start="441.84" dur="3.199">now we're going to try vivaldi again</text><text start="443.599" dur="4.72">i'll fast forward</text><text start="445.039" dur="5.44">and we'll start it with linux hyphen</text><text start="448.319" dur="3.121">vivaldi this is basically the same way</text><text start="450.479" dur="3.201">we did with brave</text><text start="451.44" dur="3.36">linux hyphen brave and there we go</text><text start="453.68" dur="3.84">there's vivaldi</text><text start="454.8" dur="2.72">set default</text><text start="458.4" dur="3.199">and again what we'll do oh that's</text><text start="459.919" dur="2.881">interesting jump to version</text><text start="461.599" dur="4.241">i don't know what we'll do with that</text><text start="462.8" dur="3.04">we'll leave that</text><text start="467.52" dur="6.959">and we'll just go to um</text><text start="470.8" dur="6.079">test the uh wide vine</text><text start="474.479" dur="5.681">again if you didn't want to use uh brave</text><text start="476.879" dur="3.281">or google chrome</text><text start="484.08" dur="4.72">and yes of course it works</text><text start="487.12" dur="6.69">so that's really good it works across</text><text start="488.8" dur="8.36">all three browsers</text><text start="493.81" dur="3.35">[Music]</text><text start="499.28" dur="3.919">so what do i think of this group i think</text><text start="501.599" dur="4.401">this script is</text><text start="503.199" dur="4.161">a fantastic addition to freebsd and</text><text start="506" dur="3.84">normadbst and all the rest of the</text><text start="507.36" dur="4.64">beasties if they want to use it</text><text start="509.84"
