[Music]for kyrgyzstan the kovic crisis came inwaves in fact the first wavewas the chinese the chinese lockdown andin fact the chinese lockdownalso had effects and impact on on thetrade flows in kyrgyzstan which then hadaloss of revenues and then you had afiscal gap which was createdwe're talking about six per six percentof gdp so this is enormousfor kegen the second wave came with thelockdown when we had the first casescoveted crisiscoveted pandemic cases and that's whenyou started seeingin fact a social economic impact onpeoplewho were made temporarily unemployed whohad no way ofgetting out and obviously that's whenthe social protection should come inthe response if i was was both at themin policy level working with thegovernment on how to do it how to handleithow to make the measures and working infour different groups they were set upimmediately one on macro financialassistance one on healthone on food security and socialprotection and then the last oneprivate sector and smes we were in allof themand we are still in all of them workingevery week withthe with the together with theauthorities to try to make the bestresponseour response has been in fact with 36and packageeu package of 36 million more than 36million euro30.8 million in fact are in budgetsupportsupporting in social protection andeducation digitalizationand and the other part is working withour partnerswith the civil society with ourimplementing partners on projectsand we've had some amazing responseswith one of them and some of them havebeen on gender-based violence withspotlight initiative where we reallyhave seen an increase indomestic violence unfortunately some ofthem have been ppe i mean simplepragmatic ppeto for border guards and customsofficersand then we've had webinars creativee-learning initiatives webinars forjournalists andon on how to cover the crisis but alsohow to fight the fake newswe worked so much more together in factwith the governmentwe had these meetings every week withthe minister the deputy ministersinter-sectoral inter-ministerial withthe development partners who wanted tobe inout i mean you could click and thenparticipate and beactive participants so this was verygood one of the negative things is thatwith this dynamic sort of energetic wayof working togetherevery i mean every day in fact somehowand it was very quick and we did notmanage to get thecivil society in and that's reallysomething that we have to work onbecause if we get a second wave we haveto be readyto find a way of getting the civilsociety in again and then for us i meanand it's not only for us butfor but for the people for thedevelopment partners i mean again i meantransparency is keybecause this is a time where you can govery quickly and you forget to sort oftalk about it and then it becomes anissue at one point we have to haveaccountability we have to havetransparency
