keyboarduh in a compact form factor that's beenengineered for portability anddurability the black solid steel framethroughout the chass complement a robustbuild which is always a welcome featureat this price point uh there'sabsolutely no flex when typing and thatincreases both typing and gamingaccuracy there's a single USB chargingport at the back of the keyboard whichis a convenient way to charge yourmobile devices but I would havepreferred an extra USB port for datatransfers from hard drives or flashdrives because this single port onlypasses power the main cable on the otherhand is removable and braided in a TightMesh I prefer this type of approach overpre-attached CA because it provideseasier routing to my PC and it's userreplaceable hyperx also includes a meshtravel pouch for the alloy FPS and Ithink this should be useful fortraveling purposes especially for landevents there's also a convenient storageslot for the removable cable even thoughthe overall approach here is veryminimalistic there are few touches ofcolor here and there hyperx includesthese colored contoured and textured waskey caps along with the first fournumber Keys uh since the aloe FPS istargeted towards FPS gamers this is anice addition and helps quickly findyour movement and inventory Keys a keycap removal tool is also included mediaplayback buttons are programmed to thefunction key plus there's a game mode onF12 that disables the Windows key thekeyboard also features full n key andsix key rollover and to enable thatyou'll need to press the FN plus deletekey and FN plus insert key butgood thing they've added that portionafter we brought it up the lighting onthe alloy FPS is pretty basic but that'sby Design rather than anything else allthe keys are individually back liid bythe red LED and while RGB is a trendthese days uh it's not easy to find afully mechanical keyboard with cherryswitches and RGB uh for under$120 hyperx opted for Cherry MX Blueswitches on the alloy FPS gamingkeyboard and I found that to be a bitodd now most of you might be comfortablegaming on MX Blue switches but themajority of Gamers prefer MX Reds orBrowns because the actuation force is alot lighter compared to Blues this canbe a major disadvantage for FPS Gamersbecause from my experience theseswitches are not so good for fastactions like changing weapons ormovement throughout the gameplay on theother hand MX Blue switches are greatfor productivity purposes because theyhave great tactile feedback and a littlebit of resistance for actuation and Ilike that for writing scripts and emailsbut for gaming I just wish they offeredMX Reds or perhaps a custom switch sincethat's slowly starting to become thetrend these days let's havelisten this is a driverless keyboard soall the lighting effects are built intothe device so you don't have to worryabout messing around with the driversoftware uh that can be consideredeither positive or negative depending onon what you expect from a peripheralthere are six lighting modes that areselectable by pressing the function keyand the left and right arrow keys uhthere's static effect breathing and thencomes the keystroke effect followed byRipple the wave effect is next whichonly Flows In One Direction and finallyit ends with the custom mode that lightsup the was Keys the inventory Keys thespace bar and the control key which iswhat I took advantage of while playingBattlefield one these are high qualityswitches no questions asked I love MXblues for the perfect Tac registrationsand the included texture keys do a greatjob gripping my fingers and it's easilydistinguishable when playing in Darkerenvironments I just can't agree with theswitch Choice hyperx opted for as MXBlues are not great for FPS Gamersyou'll easily experience finger fatigueafter hours of gameplay given theslightly stronger actuation force uhthere are angle adjustments forappropriate elevation and the texturedrubber grips at the bottom do a greatjob preventing the keyboard from slidingaround your desk so to answer myquestion at the beginning of the videoum is the hyperx alloy FPS gamingmechanical keyboard worth every penny Ipersonally don't think so but that mightnot be the same for you you see I lovethe compact form factor and I think it'sperfect for travel especially for landevents uh the build quality is great andthe accessories that are included in theBox are useful and I like the redbacklighting what got me was theirswitch Choice the alloy FPS is targetedtowards FPS Gamers but as an FPS gamer Iwould have preferred an option
