cable even though</text><text start="136" dur="3.2">the overall approach here is very</text><text start="137.319" dur="4">minimalistic there are few touches of</text><text start="139.2" dur="4.08">color here and there hyperx includes</text><text start="141.319" dur="4.121">these colored contoured and textured was</text><text start="143.28" dur="4.56">key caps along with the first four</text><text start="145.44" dur="5.04">number Keys uh since the aloe FPS is</text><text start="147.84" dur="4.479">targeted towards FPS gamers this is a</text><text start="150.48" dur="4.119">nice addition and helps quickly find</text><text start="152.319" dur="4.721">your movement and inventory Keys a key</text><text start="154.599" dur="3.801">cap removal tool is also included media</text><text start="157.04" dur="3.24">playback buttons are programmed to the</text><text start="158.4" dur="4.479">function key plus there&amp;#39;s a game mode on</text><text start="160.28" dur="4.76">F12 that disables the Windows key the</text><text start="162.879" dur="4.28">keyboard also features full n key and</text><text start="165.04" dur="4.52">six key rollover and to enable that</text><text start="167.159" dur="5.36">you&amp;#39;ll need to press the FN plus delete</text><text start="169.56" dur="4.88">key and FN plus insert key respectively</text><text start="172.519" dur="3.64">unfortunately this information is not</text><text start="174.44" dur="4">provided in the manual nor on the</text><text start="176.159" dur="4.44">website it&amp;#39;s very disappointing to have</text><text start="178.44" dur="4.84">all the marketing material drowning out</text><text start="180.599" dur="4.081">useful information that is missing but</text><text start="183.28" dur="3.28">good thing they&amp;#39;ve added that portion</text><text start="184.68" dur="4.32">after we brought it up the lighting on</text><text start="186.56" dur="4.599">the alloy FPS is pretty basic but that&amp;#39;s</text><text start="189" dur="3.76">by Design rather than anything else all</text><text start="191.159" dur="4.281">the keys are individually back liid by</text><text start="192.76" dur="4.839">the red LED and while RGB is a trend</text><text start="195.44" dur="3.96">these days uh it&amp;#39;s not easy to find a</text><text start="197.599" dur="4.681">fully mechanical keyboard with cherry</text><text start="199.4" dur="5.72">switches and RGB uh for under</text><text start="202.28" dur="4.64">$120 hyperx opted for Cherry MX Blue</text><text start="205.12" dur="4.24">switches on the alloy FPS gaming</text><text start="206.92" dur="4.72">keyboard and I found that to be a bit</text><text start="209.36" dur="4.12">odd now most of you might be comfortable</text><text start="211.64" dur="4.4">gaming on MX Blue switches but the</text><text start="213.48" dur="5">majority of Gamers prefer MX Reds or</text><text start="216.04" dur="5.04">Browns because the actuation force is a</text><text start="218.48" dur="4.839">lot lighter compared to Blues this can</text><text start="221.08" dur="4.159">be a major disadvantage for FPS Gamers</text><text start="223.319" dur="3.761">because from my experience these</text><text start="225.239" dur="3.801">switches are not so good for fast</text><text start="227.08" dur="3.84">actions like changing weapons or</text><text start="229.04" dur="3.32">movement throughout the gameplay on the</text><text start="230.92" dur="3.519">other hand MX Blue switches are great</text><text start="232.36" dur="3.92">for productivity purposes because they</text><text start="234.439" dur="3.961">have great tactile feedback and a little</text><text start="236.28" dur="4.239">bit of resistance for actuation and I</text><text start="238.4" dur="4.559">like that for writing scripts and emails</text><text start="240.519" dur="5.481">but for gaming I just wish they offered</text><text start="242.959" dur="4.321">MX Reds or perhaps a custom switch since</text><text start="246" dur="4.84">that&amp;#39;s slowly starting to become the</text><text start="247.28" dur="3.56">trend these days let&amp;#39;s have</text><text start="258.4" dur="4.44">listen this is a driverless keyboard so</text><text start="261.28" dur="3.28">all the lighting effects are built into</text><text start="262.84" dur="3.079">the device so you don&amp;#39;t have to worry</text><text start="264.56" dur="3.32">about messing around with the driver</text><text start="265.919" dur="3.84">software uh that can be considered</text><text start="267.88" dur="3.759">either positive or negative depending on</text><text start="269.759" dur="3.16">on what you expect from a peripheral</text><text start="271.639" dur="2.961">there are six lighting modes that are</text><text start="272.919" dur="3.881">selectable by pressing the function key</text><text start="274.6" dur="4.319">and the left and right arrow keys uh</text><text start="276.8" dur="3.88">there&amp;#39;s static effect breathing and then</text><text start="278.919" dur="3.961">comes the keystroke effect followed by</text><text start="280.68" dur="4.32">Ripple the wave effect is next which</text><text start="282.88" dur="4.2">only Flows In One Direction and finally</text><text start="285" dur="4.72">it ends with the custom mode that lights</text><text start="287.08" dur="4.76">up the was Keys the inventory Keys the</text><text start="289.72" dur="3.6">space bar and the control key which is</text><text start="291.84" dur="3.88">what I took advantage of while playing</text><text start="293.32" dur="5.04">Battlefield one these are high quality</text><text start="295.72" dur="4.8">switches no questions asked I love MX</text><text start="298.36" dur="4.48">blues for the perfect Tac registrations</text><text start="300.52" dur="4.519">and the included texture keys do a great</text><text start="302.84" dur="3.84">job gripping my fingers and it&amp;#39;s easily</text><text start="305.039" dur="4.241">distinguishable when playing in Darker</text><text start="306.68" dur="5.04">environments I just can&amp;#39;t agree with the</text><text start="309.28" dur="4.68">switch Choice hyperx opted for as MX</text><text start="311.72" dur="4.12">Blues are not great for FPS Gamers</text><text start="313.96" dur="3.56">you&amp;#39;ll easily experience finger fatigue</text><text start="315.84" dur="3.919">after hours of gameplay given the</text><text start="317.52" dur="3.44">slightly stronger actuation force uh</text><text start="319.759" dur="3.041">there are angle adjustments for</text><text start="320.96" dur="3.4">appropriate elevation and the textured</text><text start="322.8" dur="3.88">rubber grips at the bottom do a great</text><text start="324.36" dur="4.36">job preventing the keyboard from sliding</text><text start="326.68" dur="3.959">around your desk so to answer my</text><text start="328.72" dur="4.56">question at the beginning of the video</text><text start="330.639" dur="5.961">um is the hyperx alloy FPS gaming</text><text start="333.28" dur="5.199">mechanical keyboard worth every penny I</text><text start="336.6" dur="3.719">personally don&amp;#39;t think so but that might</text><text start="338.479" dur="3.56">not be the same for you you see I love</text><text start="340.319" dur="3.6">the compact form factor and I think it&amp;#39;s</text><text start="342.039" dur="4.561">perfect for travel especially for land</text><text start="343.919" dur="4.041">events uh the build quality is great and</text><text start="346.6" dur="3.599">the accessories that are included in the</text><text start="347.96" dur="4.32">Box are useful and I like the red</text><text start="350.199" dur="4.681">backlighting what got me was their</text><text start="352.28" dur="6">switch Choice the alloy FPS is targeted</text><text start="354.88" dur="5.12">towards FPS Gamers but as an FPS gamer I</text><text start="358.28" dur="4.199">would have preferred an option of at</text><text start="360" dur="4.8">least MX Reds uh due to their lighter</text><text start="362.479" dur="4.481">actuations now you might prefer MX Blu</text><text start="364.8" dur="3.56">switches for gaming and in that case</text><text start="366.96"
