jeremy del oro ranking member grangerchairwoman captor and ranking membersimpson thank you again for thisopportunity to discuss my finalamendment of this markup amendmentnumber three this amendment is one oftransparency too often administrationstake actions without providing properbriefings to this committee and i saythat believing this is a fundamentalright of this committee regardless ofwho is in power and regardless of partyevery member of this committee deservesgood faith substantive answers for theirconcerns despite sending multipleletters along with many of my colleaguesover the past year and a half it isconcerning to me the department ofinterior has not given a good faitheffort in answering our questions indetailthis report language directs the bureaureclamation to provide the committeewith the justification on the decisionto re-initiate consultation of thelong-term coordinated operation of thecentral valley project the state waterproject to be presented to thiscommittee in the form of a writtenreport explaining in detail why thebiological opinions warranted are-initiation of consultationas you all know i'm passionate aboutthis issue my constituents are harmedevery single day due to the actions ofthat impacts their livelihoodscommunities and health and well-beingi believe that explaining theirreasoning behind this decision is trulythe least the bureau of reclamationcould do as my constituents continue tounfairly unnecessarily sufferi hope my colleague colleagues heretoday see the value in this simple yetnecessary request so that we may getsome transparency not only in thisdecision but others like this to thiscommittee i appreciate the opportunityto discuss this requestin this amendment i urge all mycolleagues to support the committee'sright to have transparency on anyadministrationthanks thank you and i yield back
