start="18.88" dur="3.92">arkanoid please don&amp;#39;t</text><text start="20.4" dur="4.639">ever mistake a lull in our blog post for</text><text start="22.8" dur="4">any kind of lapse in energy</text><text start="25.039" dur="3.681">we prefer to post news when we have</text><text start="26.8" dur="4.719">something important to say</text><text start="28.72" dur="5.12">or to announce be the last 5.0 release</text><text start="71.36" dur="5.28">we did this specifically to address a</text><text start="74.08" dur="4">couple minor issues we saw with the 505</text><text start="76.64" dur="3.6">production run</text><text start="78.08" dur="5.12">rather than try to release interim fixes</text><text start="80.24" dur="6.08">to get the os updated or installed fresh</text><text start="83.2" dur="4.72">easier to just provide an updated iso we</text><text start="86.32" dur="3.52">also knew that there would be several</text><text start="87.92" dur="3.6">months before the next release</text><text start="89.84" dur="4.319">and the lesser of two evils was to</text><text start="91.52" dur="5.76">release one last 5.0 build</text><text start="94.159" dur="5.681">instead of making everyone wait</text><text start="97.28" dur="4.08">5.1 will be the next minor point release</text><text start="99.84" dur="4.239">for arca os</text><text start="101.36" dur="3.6">we anticipate being able to release this</text><text start="104.079" dur="4.641">sometime</text><text start="104.96" dur="5.04">in middle to late middle 2021.</text><text start="108.72" dur="4.6">it will go through our normal</text><text start="110" dur="6.799">maintenance release cycle 5.1.0</text><text start="113.32" dur="6.68">5.1.1 5.1.2 etc</text><text start="116.799" dur="6.881">we don&amp;#39;t yet know how many of those</text><text start="120" dur="6.96">there may be when the 5.1 cycle</text><text start="123.68" dur="5.84">completes we will move to 5.2 and so on</text><text start="126.96" dur="4.639">we have no specific plans for what 5.2</text><text start="129.52" dur="3.359">will contain or any subsequent release</text><text start="131.599" dur="4">at this time</text><text start="132.879" dur="4.08">that is not to say and let me be clear</text><text start="135.599" dur="4.401">about this</text><text start="136.959" dur="6.801">that we have any plans to stop producing</text><text start="140" dur="4.4">new arca os releases we firmly believe</text><text start="143.76" dur="3.36">that we have</text><text start="144.4" dur="3.919">plenty more to update enhance and expand</text><text start="147.12" dur="3.119">on the platform</text><text start="148.319" dur="5.041">and we are ready willing and able to</text><text start="150.239" dur="3.121">continue development</text><text start="153.44" dur="4.4">let&amp;#39;s discuss some of the items we</text><text start="155.12" dur="4.96">intend to include with the 5.1 release</text><text start="157.84" dur="4">as always these are forward-looking</text><text start="160.08" dur="2.96">statements that should not be taken as a</text><text start="161.84" dur="4.399">commitment to release</text><text start="163.04" dur="6.16">any of these however these are in</text><text start="166.239" dur="3.761">our internal roadmap and will and we</text><text start="169.2" dur="4.16">will do our</text><text start="170" dur="4.879">utmost to get them into 5 into the 5.1</text><text start="173.36" dur="3.599">release</text><text start="174.879" dur="5.681">that also means that some of these may</text><text start="176.959" dur="6.081">not necessarily be in the 5.1.0 release</text><text start="180.56" dur="5.52">but may make it into subsequent 5.1</text><text start="183.04" dur="3.04">maintenance releases</text><text start="186.159" dur="4.16">we have some installer fixes and</text><text start="187.76" dur="4.479">enhancements planned and in progress</text><text start="190.319" dur="3.92">as most of you know we started the arc</text><text start="192.239" dur="5.041">os project knowing that we get</text><text start="194.239" dur="4.161">one shot to make a first impression and</text><text start="197.28" dur="3.44">the installer</text><text start="198.4" dur="3.68">is that first impression so we take it</text><text start="200.72" dur="5.12">very seriously</text><text start="202.08" dur="3.76">and we continue to refine it</text><text start="206.48" dur="4.399">in a first for the os2 platform we</text><text start="209.12" dur="4.8">intend to provide support for</text><text start="210.879" dur="6.481">install to and booting on systems</text><text start="213.92" dur="6.08">which lack a traditional bios uefi</text><text start="217.36" dur="4.799">unified extensible firmware interface</text><text start="220" dur="3.44">is where all new hardware is headed and</text><text start="222.159" dur="3.121">in a few years</text><text start="223.44" dur="3.68">there may be no new machines with</text><text start="225.28" dur="5.039">traditional bios</text><text start="227.12" dur="3.679">supporting uefi ensures that arca os can</text><text start="230.319" dur="3.28">remain</text><text start="230.799" dur="4.8">viable into the future we also are</text><text start="233.599" dur="4.801">developing a solution for gpt</text><text start="235.599" dur="5.28">disk layouts while arca os is currently</text><text start="238.4" dur="4.72">limited to nbr disk layouts</text><text start="240.879" dur="4">which is up to four partitions including</text><text start="243.12" dur="4.399">one extended partition</text><text start="244.879" dur="5.841">with one or more logical volumes and</text><text start="247.519" dur="4.881">disks of up to two terabytes in capacity</text><text start="250.72" dur="4.239">we all know that this is no longer</text><text start="252.4" dur="5.519">realistic for today&amp;#39;s storage devices</text><text start="254.959" dur="4.8">or necessarily compatible in multi-boot</text><text start="257.919" dur="4">configurations</text><text start="259.759" dur="3.521">multiple terabyte disks are the norm</text><text start="261.919" dur="4.081">today and it is</text><text start="263.28" dur="3.6">silly to only be able to utilize two</text><text start="266" dur="4.88">terabytes</text><text start="266.88" dur="4.72">on a six terabyte disk gpt support gives</text><text start="270.88" dur="3.44">us a path</text><text start="271.6" dur="3.92">forward to utilizing these disks and</text><text start="274.32" dur="3.28">eventually</text><text start="275.52" dur="6.32">to creating and using partitions in</text><text start="277.6" dur="6.4">excess of two terabytes as well</text><text start="281.84" dur="3.6">will have our first national language</text><text start="284" dur="3.759">versions of arc os</text><text start="285.44" dur="5.84">generally available i&amp;#39;ll talk about</text><text start="287.759" dur="5.921">these a little later in the session</text><text start="291.28" dur="3.04">we plan to include the new qt5 based</text><text start="293.68" dur="3.44">browser</text><text start="294.32" dur="4.24">falcon assuming it is ready and stable</text><text start="297.12" dur="3.519">for production use</text><text start="298.56" dur="3.919">remember this is a bit wise effort and</text><text start="300.639" dur="4.721">we cannot speak for them</text><text start="302.479" dur="4.16">however if the browser is available we</text><text start="305.36" dur="3.279">will include it</text><text start="306.639" dur="4.641">we also would like to include updated</text><text start="308.639" dur="6.641">builds of the mozilla applications as</text><text start="311.28" dur="7.359">well as some other tools and software</text><text start="315.28" dur="3.84">currently arca os ships with a samba 3.6</text><text start="318.639" dur="4.161">based</text><text start="319.12" dur="5.76">server and a 4.11 based client</text><text start="322.8" dur="3.76">it is our plan to bring the server and</text><text start="324.88" dur="3.68">client into parity</text><text start="326.56" dur="4">which should help resolve differences in</text><text start="328.56" dur="4.8">the solver configuration file</text><text start="330.56" dur="4.56">between the two major versions and make</text><text start="333.36" dur="3.2">things more consistent across all</text><text start="335.12" dur="3.919">connections</text><text start="336.56" dur="4.639">ultimately we want to include new saba</text><text start="339.039" dur="5.521">gui tools as well</text><text start="341.199" dur="6.401">continuing in the way of new drivers</text><text start="344.56" dur="6.079">nvme the successor to ahci</text><text start="347.6" dur="4.72">is becoming more and more popular nvme</text><text start="350.639" dur="4.241">was specifically designed to take</text><text start="352.32" dur="5.04">advantage of ssd technology</text><text start="354.88" dur="4.879">we currently have an nvme driver in</text><text start="357.36" dur="5.52">development</text><text start="359.759" dur="5.841">dt audio currently allows wino s2</text><text start="362.88" dur="3.12">audio to be routed to uni off we want to</text><text start="365.6" dur="2.64">also</text><text start="366" dur="3.919">provide a virtual sound blaster driver</text><text start="368.24" dur="3.76">for dos sessions</text><text start="369.919" dur="3.681">this will round out our support for</text><text start="372" dur="4.479">retro gaming</text><text start="373.6" dur="5.039">uefi support now allows us to run dos</text><text start="376.479" dur="3.201">and wino s2 on more systems than we have</text><text start="378.639" dur="4.161">been able to</text><text start="379.68" dur="5.12">in quite some time as well what&amp;#39;s</text><text start="382.8" dur="4">currently missing from the dawson wino</text><text start="384.8" dur="4.72">is to multimedia experience</text><text start="386.8" dur="4.88">is audio support for systems which lack</text><text start="389.52" dur="5.76">a dos or wino s2 driver</text><text start="391.68" dur="6.079">which today means most systems dt audio</text><text start="395.28" dur="5.84">with the virtual sound blaster driver</text><text start="397.759" dur="3.361">will fill that gap</text><text start="401.759" dur="4.16">we have more bundled apps to toss into</text><text start="403.919" dur="3.681">the iso including gotcha for quick</text><text start="405.919" dur="2.72">screen captures from the print screen</text><text start="407.6" dur="3.84">button</text><text start="408.639" dur="4.56">new calculators and new text editors we</text><text start="411.44" dur="3.68">don&amp;#39;t want to bloat the distribution but</text><text start="413.199" dur="3.12">we do want it to be immediately useful</text><text start="415.12" dur="4.32">for most users</text><text start="416.319" dur="4.16">so productivity apps are a must we may</text><text start="419.44" dur="4.159">add a few small</text><text start="420.479" dur="7.041">games as well</text><text start="423.599" dur="5.841">and finally finally we will do away with</text><text start="427.52" dur="4.56">the monolithic selective install</text><text start="429.44" dur="5.92">facility from warp 4 and replace it</text><text start="432.08" dur="5.519">with small specific selective installer</text><text start="435.36" dur="2.8">apps for new keyboards video driver</text><text start="437.599" dur="4.801">switching</text><text start="438.16" dur="6.879">and so forth if possible</text><text start="442.4" dur="4.4">we would like to add new multi-mac w lan</text><text start="445.039" dur="2.321">drivers to the assortment of gen mac</text><text start="446.8" dur="2.88">wi-fi</text><text start="447.36" dur="3.839">drivers we already have there should be</text><text start="449.68" dur="3.359">little overlap between the two</text><text start="451.199" dur="3.601">technologies as well</text><text start="453.039" dur="4.16">the new drivers should be focused on</text><text start="454.8" dur="3.76">newer chips which are not supported by</text><text start="457.199" dur="3.041">genmac</text><text start="458.56" dur="3.28">this work has not really begun in</text><text start="460.24" dur="5.519">earnest as yet however</text><text start="461.84" dur="6.96">but it is still very much on our device</text><text start="465.759" dur="3.041">driver roadmap</text><text start="468.96" dur="6.799">even more stuff initially</text><text start="473.12" dur="6">the 5.1 release will include an upgrade</text><text start="475.759" dur="5.601">facility to go from arca os 5.0 to 5.1</text><text start="479.12" dur="6">in much the same way as the 5.0</text><text start="481.36" dur="5.36">update facility moves between 5.10</text><text start="485.12" dur="4.88">releases</text><text start="486.72" dur="5.12">it will not be necessary to reformat the</text><text start="490" dur="5.36">system in order to upgrade to arc</text><text start="491.84" dur="6.079">os 5.1 of course things like switching</text><text start="495.36" dur="5.6">from traditional bios to uefi</text><text start="497.919" dur="5.921">or from mbr to gpt will probably</text><text start="500.96" dur="3.919">not be supported by the upgrade facility</text><text start="503.84" dur="2.88">as these imply</text><text start="504.879" dur="3.44">some radical changes to the hardware</text><text start="506.72" dur="4.159">configuration</text><text start="508.319" dur="4.241">instead the goal of the upgrade will be</text><text start="510.879" dur="2.4">to take the hardware in its current</text><text start="512.56" dur="3.2">state</text><text start="513.279" dur="4.88">and just move the os to the latest</text><text start="515.76" dur="2.399">version</text><text start="518.479" dur="3.761">later we plan to introduce a migration</text><text start="521.12" dur="4.24">facility to move</text><text start="522.24" dur="5.12">existing ecs systems to arca os without</text><text start="525.36" dur="3.919">the need for a reformat in all of the</text><text start="527.36" dur="3.52">data and configuration recovery which</text><text start="529.279" dur="3.761">that entails</text><text start="530.88" dur="3.84">we may extend this migration to include</text><text start="533.04" dur="4.32">later warp 4 and mcp</text><text start="534.72" dur="5.52">service levels likely the dividing line</text><text start="537.36" dur="4.8">would be systems with lvm</text><text start="540.24" dur="3.52">details for the migration component have</text><text start="542.16" dur="3.679">not been worked out as yet</text><text start="543.76" dur="5.12">and this is not likely to be in the</text><text start="545.839" dur="5.44">initial 5.1 release</text><text start="548.88" dur="3.2">as we progress through the 5.1 release</text><text start="551.279" dur="3.281">cycle</text><text start="552.08" dur="4.72">expect more installer enhancements as</text><text start="554.56" dur="3.76">i&amp;#39;ve said we get only one shot to make a</text><text start="556.8" dur="2.4">first impression and the better we can</text><text start="558.32" dur="3.04">make that</text><text start="559.2" dur="4.639">the better the whole system looks and</text><text start="561.36" dur="4.159">the fewer installation complications</text><text start="563.839" dur="4.081">we may have to address in the bug</text><text start="565.519" dur="2.401">tracker</text><text start="568.32" dur="4.079">we&amp;#39;d like to include true desktop search</text><text start="571.12" dur="4">to effectively locate</text><text start="572.399" dur="3.601">text and pdfs and other data files</text><text start="575.12" dur="3.12">recall</text><text start="576" dur="4.08">looks like a good choice for this and we</text><text start="578.24" dur="3.12">are looking at updating to the most</text><text start="580.08" dur="4.72">recent release</text><text start="581.36" dur="5.36">including the qt5 gui for it as storage</text><text start="584.8" dur="4">space continues to increase</text><text start="586.72" dur="4">the need for finding things quickly</text><text start="588.8" dur="4.32">likewise increases</text><text start="590.72" dur="4.32">we view this as a necessary productivity</text><text start="593.12" dur="5.04">tool for the platform</text><text start="595.04" dur="4.64">recall also utilizes plugins for various</text><text start="598.16" dur="3.359">data file types</text><text start="599.68" dur="3.04">and it is not out of the realm of</text><text start="601.519" dur="3.121">possibility</text><text start="602.72" dur="3.679">that we will develop and include one or</text><text start="604.64" dur="4">more specific plugins</text><text start="606.399" dur="3.44">to search say lotus smart suite</text><text start="608.64" dur="3.199">documents</text><text start="609.839" dur="4.401">open office is already supported i</text><text start="611.839" dur="2.401">believe</text><text start="615.36" dur="3.44">we have some more locale fixes and</text><text start="617.279" dur="3.281">updates to do so these should be</text><text start="618.8" dur="5.039">included along the line as we go through</text><text start="620.56" dur="3.279">the 5.1 release</text><text start="624.32" dur="4.16">finally let&amp;#39;s talk briefly about</text><text start="626" dur="5.519">national language versions</text><text start="628.48" dur="3.52">we&amp;#39;re already building betas of german</text><text start="631.519" dur="2.961">dutch</text><text start="632" dur="4.959">spanish french italian russian</text><text start="634.48" dur="5.68">simplified chinese traditional chinese</text><text start="636.959" dur="6.721">japanese and korean with more languages</text><text start="640.16" dur="6.56">planned such as brazilian portuguese</text><text start="643.68" dur="6.159">we can add more based on demand</text><text start="646.72" dur="4.96">so if you have need or better</text><text start="649.839" dur="4.401">know of a upgrading to 5.1</text><text start="681.04" dur="6.56">from 5.0 will be english only</text><text start="684.399" dur="3.601">so if you have need for say german this</text><text start="687.6" dur="3.679">will have</text><text start="688" dur="3.279">to be a fresh install</text><text start="692.16" dur="3.679">there are probably a hundred moving</text><text start="694.24" dur="2.4">parts subscriptions</text><text start="790.639" dur="4.961">and as we know those well-entrenched</text><text start="793.44" dur="5.04">installations have a whole bunch of</text><text start="795.6" dur="6">applications already installed on them</text><text start="798.48" dur="3.52">the original installation disks for</text><text start="801.6" dur="3.52">which</text><text start="802" dur="6.32">may or may not be easily found</text><text start="805.12" dur="7.36">so um it</text><text start="808.32" dur="7.84">makes it uh a bigger hassle</text><text start="812.48" dur="5.599">to upgrade to to migrate i should say</text><text start="816.16" dur="3.919">over to arc os</text><text start="818.079" dur="3.521">when there&amp;#39;s all that stuff already</text><text start="820.079" dur="9.76">installed and configured</text><text start="821.6" dur="8.239">so that&amp;#39;s the that&amp;#39;s the idea</text><text start="849.839" dur="5.521">okay okay so here well let me let me</text><text start="854" dur="3.36">run through it one more time and</text><text start="855.36" dur="2.32">hopefully this will this will clarify</text><text start="857.36" dur="5.839">the</text><text start="857.68" dur="14.159">the situation arc os 5.0 is english only</text><text start="863.199" dur="8.64">so we handle updates from 5.0.0 to 5.0.1</text><text start="873.279" dur="5.161">with no problem it&amp;#39;s all the same</text><text start="875.199" dur="6.721">language we can update everything</text><text start="878.44" dur="6.92">5.1 if someone wants to</text><text start="881.92" dur="6.64">upgrade from 5.0 english to 5.1</text><text start="885.36" dur="6.32">german there will not be an</text><text start="888.56" dur="6.48">up an upgrade option</text><text start="891.68" dur="6.399">to upgrade and change language</text><text start="895.04" dur="6.08">so uh because there is no</text><text start="898.079" dur="7.041">5.0 in german</text><text start="901.12" dur="7.36">there can&amp;#39;t be a 5.0 to 5.1</text><text start="905.12" dur="5.12">upgrade in german so german would have</text><text start="908.48" dur="5.64">to be a fresh install</text><text start="910.24" dur="5.12">now once that&amp;#39;s installed updating the</text><text start="914.12" dur="4.36">5.1.1</text><text start="915.36" dur="6">german to german will work</text><text start="918.48" dur="3.52">but you can&amp;#39;t update prince you not only</text><text start="921.36" dur="5.36">can you not</text><text start="922" dur="8.72">upgrade from 5.00</text><text start="926.72" dur="4.88">english to 5.1.0 german but you wouldn&amp;#39;t</text><text start="930.72" dur="4.559">be able to</text><text start="931.6" dur="7.599">update 5.1.0 english</text><text start="935.279" dur="5.201">to 5.1.1 german so the language has to</text><text start="939.199" dur="4.56">be the same when you&amp;#39;re doing an</text><text start="940.48" dur="3.279">update or an upgrade</text><text start="945.92" dur="4.56">yeah okay i get it because yeah i</text><text start="947.92" dur="6.56">understand how os2 you</text><text start="950.48" dur="8">is not like it cannot switch language</text><text start="954.48" dur="6.799">um once it is installed yeah</text><text start="958.48" dur="4.799">you have to install it like the the i</text><text start="961.279" dur="8.56">don&amp;#39;t know if you sell in german</text><text start="963.279" dur="6.56">you cannot switch it to english</text><text start="970.8" dur="5.279">there is another question uh well more</text><text start="973.92" dur="2.479">about software if there are any plans</text><text start="976.079" dur="5.921">for</text><text start="976.399" dur="7.761">java 1.8 and</text><text start="982" dur="3.6">and if there is a possibility for that</text><text start="984.16" dur="4.479">in the future</text><text start="985.6" dur="7.039">okay well remember that</text><text start="988.639" dur="4.801">java is um it&amp;#39;s a net labs project</text><text start="992.639" dur="4.32">that&amp;#39;s been</text><text start="993.44" dur="6.8">historically run by bitwise</text><text start="996.959" dur="6.481">and i believe that that</text><text start="1000.24" dur="7.039">they do have a desire to</text><text start="1003.44" dur="5.28">uh update to java 8 which would be java</text><text start="1007.279" dur="3.12">1.8</text><text start="1008.72" dur="4.08">we certainly would like to see that but</text><text start="1010.399" dur="3.36">we have not made at the top of the</text><text start="1183.28" dur="4">priority list</text><text start="1184.32" dur="3.84">as more and more machines were coming</text><text start="1187.28" dur="4.56">out with usb</text><text start="1188.16" dur="5.6">3 only and we were running into issues</text><text start="1191.84" dur="4.64">where people couldn&amp;#39;t even connect a</text><text start="1193.76" dur="5.039">mouse and keyboard to install the</text><text start="1196.48" dur="4.079">operating system</text><text start="1198.799" dur="3.921">so that was at the top of the list now</text><text start="1200.559" dur="6.961">we&amp;#39;ve got usb 3</text><text start="1202.72" dur="8.8">support working xhci support working</text><text start="1207.52" dur="5.6">and that&amp;#39;s out of the way in terms of</text><text start="1211.52" dur="4.48">getting it off the ground and getting it</text><text start="1213.12" dur="2.88">getting it functional</text><text start="1216.48" dur="6.319">so then the next question is well uh</text><text start="1219.76" dur="4.08">we had planned a new audio driver we had</text><text start="1222.799" dur="5.921">planned</text><text start="1223.84" dur="4.88">wi-fi drivers and</text><text start="1229.28" dur="4.8">so we were really looking at</text><text start="1231.039" dur="6.801">prioritizing the wi-fi drivers next</text><text start="1234.08" dur="5.36">and then the nvme issue cropped up</text><text start="1237.84" dur="4.48">because more and more systems are</text><text start="1239.44" dur="7.28">shipping with nvme controllers</text><text start="1242.32" dur="7.2">instead of ahci controllers</text><text start="1246.72" dur="4.64">well if you can&amp;#39;t get the machine to if</text><text start="1249.52" dur="4">you can&amp;#39;t install the software</text><text start="1251.36" dur="3.36">on on the machine the operating system</text><text start="1253.52" dur="4.24">on the machine</text><text start="1254.72" dur="6.8">not much else matters so nvme</text><text start="1257.76" dur="7.36">got jumped to the top of the</text><text start="1261.52" dur="6.159">of the the stack once that&amp;#39;s</text><text start="1265.12" dur="3.28">done and out of the way and working i</text><text start="1267.679" dur="5.281">think that</text><text start="1268.4" dur="8.24">that wi-fi drivers are pretty close to</text><text start="1272.96" dur="8.079">next in line there um</text><text start="1276.64" dur="6.32">but uh it&amp;#39;s all a matter of</text><text start="1281.039" dur="3.041">what do we need to get the machine</text><text start="1282.96" dur="4.56">booted and running</text><text start="1284.08" dur="4.8">first then what do we need to connect to</text><text start="1287.52" dur="4.48">other things</text><text start="1288.88" dur="6.96">and then what do we need to</text><text start="1292" dur="4.799">make the system more uh user-friendly so</text><text start="1295.84" dur="2.8">audio</text><text start="1296.799" dur="4.161">keeps getting pushed farther down the</text><text start="1298.64" dur="5.36">stack and now of course that</text><text start="1300.96" dur="5.76">that paul has um</text><text start="1304" dur="4.4">gotten back into working on uni odd</text><text start="1306.72" dur="3.6">that&amp;#39;s sort of taken a lot of the</text><text start="1308.4" dur="3.279">pressure off in terms of the new audio</text><text start="1310.32" dur="3.92">driver so</text><text start="1311.679" dur="3.521">that&amp;#39;s moved much farther down the stack</text><text start="1314.24" dur="4.24">so</text><text start="1315.2" dur="3.92">that&amp;#39;s kind of the way different things</text><text start="1318.48" dur="3.6">end up</text><text start="1319.12" dur="4.16">ahead of other things in the device</text><text start="1322.08" dur="3.12">driver roadmap</text><text start="1323.28" dur="4.16">and everything of course is subject to</text><text start="1325.2" dur="4.88">change like nvme</text><text start="1327.44" dur="4.239">sort of got pushed at to the top of the</text><text start="1330.08" dur="4.4">stack</text><text start="1331.679" dur="3.681">just because that&amp;#39;s the way we saw the</text><text start="1334.48" dur="4.72">the direction</text><text start="1335.36" dur="7.04">of new hardware um</text><text start="1339.2" dur="4.959">likewise obviously the uh the uefi and</text><text start="1342.4" dur="6.08">gpt support</text><text start="1344.159" dur="7.76">has bubbled up to one to the surface</text><text start="1348.48" dur="6.079">to become more more important for us</text><text start="1351.919" dur="4.081">but wi-fi is still on the list we&amp;#39;re not</text><text start="1354.559" dur="4.48">giving up on</text><text start="1356" dur="6.96">developing new wi-fi drivers um</text><text start="1359.039" dur="3.921">we just have to get to that point</text><text start="1947.6" dur="3.12">but then all of the applications that we</text><text start="1949.84" dur="4.559">run</text><text start="1950.72" dur="5.839">are all still stuck at 32 bits so</text><text start="1954.399" dur="3.201">it wouldn&amp;#39;t really do us a lot of good</text><text start="1956.559" dur="3.281">without</text><text start="1957.6" dur="4.72">re-engineering a whole bunch of</text><text start="1959.84" dur="6">currently working applications</text><text start="1962.32" dur="6.64">for 64 bits so i don&amp;#39;t see</text><text start="1965.84" dur="7.839">a 64-bit arc os start="2004.64" dur="4.72">well remember that the way our license</text><text start="2008" dur="4.32">works with ibm</text><text start="2009.36" dur="4.799">we have the right to reverse engineer</text><text start="2012.32" dur="3.52">parts of the operating system where we</text><text start="2014.159" dur="5.601">don&amp;#39;t have source code</text><text start="2015.84" dur="6.4">in
