one of the first mice to really impressme was the zoi ec2a it's still apersonal favorite so I'm glad I get touse it again for review purposes I'll belooking at the white version in thisvideo and comparing it to the ec1a andalso the black versions it's essentiallythe same Mouse but there are some minorimprovements to the shell and feel soeven though the white mice are basicallythe same I wanted to take thisopportunity to update the review formatfor them there is a difference on thebuttons see when I press them in on theold ec2a they fall short of the edgeanyone who has the fingers hanging overthe top will feel it's sh up but on thenew one they're in line so there's noEdge sticking out here's a tour of themouse so you know what it looks like sothe coat is glossy white plastic but itretains the same 16-step scroll wheeland black side buttons some people findthat it handles sweat better othersdon't I think it has something to dowith how people grip it this is how Ihold the mouse in fact most mice I havethe tip of my thumb placed underneaththe side buttons and my fingertips inline with the scroll wheel even with wethands I've never lost grip of the mousethe thing I love so much about zo miceis the subtle Brilliance in the design Ididn't even know why I liked it at firstbut for some reason they just feltbetter than others what I've learnedsince then is that they have all theselittle curves look under the sidebuttons for example there's a tiny ledgethere that allows you to grip the mouseand also prevent you from slipping andhitting the side buttons but it's sosmall it doesn't actually get in the waywhen you do want to press them youbarely even know it's there it's justcomfortable I usually have my thumb atthe base I just move it up to thebuttons when I'm going to press them butno matter where my thumb is on that sideit feels good on the other side we havea subtle inward curve that allows alittle finger a place to rest and gripand it feels like there's just enough ofa curve at the end for the ring fingerto lift the mouse and also relax thenthe Groves and the buttons they're notdeep but they feel good and give you theextra surface area to press down onmaking button presses feel better than aflat surface the backs of my fingershave rested over the top of the mousebut the back doesn't actually touch mypalm in my current grip so for me it'smostly about shape balance and weight aslong as the sensor is good enough thoseare the three most important factors foraiming and FPS in my opinion and theshape and balance are great on the ECseries and the weight is good at 93 Gfor the ec2 but strangely the wi versionof the ec1 is about 100 G whereas theprevious version was about 96 here aresome comparisons with other mice so youknow the basic size of them the ec1a isof course bigger than the ec2a thebutton slope is gradual and the hump isin the middle these are suitable for allgrip Styles it just depends on your handsize the ec2 grip width is about 5.6 cmand the ec1 is about 6.1 it dependswhere you place your thumb and thelengths are about 12.1 on the ec2 and12.8 maybe 13 on the ec1 both Heightsare about 4 cm I recommend the ec2a forpeople with 19 by 9.5 CM hands and theuc1 for people with 21x 10.5 I thinkthey would be ideal for aiming withthose sizes but they can still suitother hand sizes of course as you see bythe size cide moving on to the buttonshere's a listen to the clicks betweenthe old and newversions forthere have been a lot of complaintsabout hanana switches being too tightbut I've used a lot of mice most ofwhich had ran switches and many actuallyfelt tighter than these so maybe it's ashell causing the tightness on these newwide versions even with the hananoswitches they feel lighter I still thinkthey need to be separate from the shellbut I can't imagine people thinkingthese are too tight the scroll wheel hasa fairly good click but I'm still not afan of the 16 step wheel in game or inbrowsing the side buttons feel a bitbetter but they still have too muchtrouble and are a bit flimsy but zoiknow of these concerns and they'reworking on them the DPI button is on thebase out of the way in the latencytesting they seem fairly similar to theg403 just slightly slower no problems ingame for me using them the sensor isstill the 3310 but as I use the fk2 asmy main Mouse I have no problem withthat some say they can feel the 3360being smoother but I don't agree zoomingin it tracks pixel by pixel and quitesmoothly so sniper and tracking aim ison point I don't have an accurate testbut it doesn't seem like there'sacceleration on this sensor lift offdistance is one DVD on cloth two on hardpads but that can be changed justholding Mouse for with the left or rightbutton or both while plugging it in andthere's no delay as far as I'm aware inthe line test it performs just as wellas a 3366 no problems at all for thebuild when tapping it it sounds fine andwhen shaking it there's almost no rattleat all just a little bit on the scrollthe cable is thicker than the one on theFK but it's still smooth and flexibleand about 7 ft or 2.1 M long and theyhave the same two large Mouse feet whichGlide smoothly they should come with thereplacement set in the Box no softwareon these to rebind the buttons you mustdo it in game so in conclusion the ECseries is still one of my favorite Ialways enjoy using them and can playextremely well I'm using the zoi fk2these days because it is slightlysmaller and that means I am just a bitbetter with it plus because it'sambidextrous I think it might be a bitmore balanced that's a fingertip gripMouse though if you're using claw orPalm you might want to stick to the ECseries the new white coat looks cool andfeels great I've really enjoyed using itbut zoi told me it will be a limitedoffer so hopefully you can get onebefore they're all gone the good news isthe new shipments of the Black Versionshould be similar to this so no loss ifyou miss out you
