start="32.34" dur="5.36">right this is a list of Hardware vendors</text><text start="35.1" dur="5.58">that can ship either compatible Hardware</text><text start="37.7" dur="4.78">or actually Hardware with FreeBSD</text><text start="40.68" dur="3.539">installed it&amp;#39;s not an exhaustive list</text><text start="42.48" dur="3.78">it&amp;#39;s only a few that I picked out and</text><text start="44.219" dur="3.66">it&amp;#39;s in no particular order</text><text start="46.26" dur="4.56">right the first one we&amp;#39;re looking at is</text><text start="47.879" dur="4.68">bargain Hardware based in Preston UK and</text><text start="50.82" dur="4.98">this is one that I&amp;#39;ve actually shopped</text><text start="52.559" dur="4.861">from on various occasions via eBay you</text><text start="55.8" dur="3.48">can order of course from the website</text><text start="57.42" dur="3.54">themselves they&amp;#39;re very reliable there&amp;#39;s</text><text start="59.28" dur="3.72">some really good cracking deals that</text><text start="60.96" dur="4.019">they have and it&amp;#39;s based in the UK in</text><text start="63" dur="4.14">Preston</text><text start="64.979" dur="3.781">which is in the north of England and one</text><text start="67.14" dur="3.78">of the great things about bargain</text><text start="68.76" dur="4.02">Hardware is apart from their</text><text start="70.92" dur="3.8">professionalism is the choice of</text><text start="72.78" dur="4.74">machines with FreeBSD actually</text><text start="74.72" dur="5.02">installable as an option which to me is</text><text start="77.52" dur="4.739">fantastic like for instance this HP</text><text start="79.74" dur="4.199">Elite desk 800 you can of course have it</text><text start="82.259" dur="3.961">windows but you can select there at the</text><text start="83.939" dur="4.441">bottom it says 3bsd installation which</text><text start="86.22" dur="4.8">is brilliant of course you get Ubuntu</text><text start="88.38" dur="6.18">Fedora and Debian but having FreeBSD is</text><text start="91.02" dur="6.84">an option is fantastic again on this HP</text><text start="94.56" dur="4.559">Elite desk 705 I mean I&amp;#39;m just picking</text><text start="97.86" dur="4.32">these at random</text><text start="99.119" dur="4.86">um again it&amp;#39;s FreeBSD is an option it&amp;#39;ll</text><text start="102.18" dur="3.54">be installed for you I don&amp;#39;t very much</text><text start="103.979" dur="3.241">it&amp;#39;s probably going to have a GUI</text><text start="105.72" dur="3.719">install by default it&amp;#39;ll be just the</text><text start="107.22" dur="4.859">base install but still it&amp;#39;s there it&amp;#39;s</text><text start="109.439" dur="5.04">an option to have something with FreeBSD</text><text start="112.079" dur="4.441">and and I think it also goes the same</text><text start="114.479" dur="4.68">with all the servers available so yeah</text><text start="116.52" dur="5.959">very good an excellent option a good</text><text start="119.159" dur="3.32">company give it a look</text><text start="123.36" dur="5.94">next on the list is abmx it&amp;#39;s based in</text><text start="126.24" dur="5.82">Tustin California and again it&amp;#39;s mainly</text><text start="129.3" dur="4.32">uh servers and more</text><text start="132.06" dur="4.44">oh I don&amp;#39;t know maybe business</text><text start="133.62" dur="4.74">orientated hardware and there it is it&amp;#39;s</text><text start="136.5" dur="4.16">based in Tustin California looks very</text><text start="138.36" dur="2.3">nice</text><text start="142.44" dur="4.379">and so for instance this two U Mini</text><text start="145.56" dur="4.44">Server</text><text start="146.819" dur="5.041">just scroll down to option for</text><text start="150" dur="4.22">operating systems if I can find it right</text><text start="151.86" dur="2.36">at the bottom</text><text start="157.379" dur="4.681">nearly there keep on going there we go</text><text start="159.98" dur="5.68">although technically you can&amp;#39;t install</text><text start="162.06" dur="5.28">FreeBSD it you can select it for OS</text><text start="165.66" dur="3.719">compatibility</text><text start="167.34" dur="4.979">which</text><text start="169.379" dur="5.401">may not be exactly shipping it out with</text><text start="172.319" dur="3.721">FreeBSD but it&amp;#39;s pretty close in the</text><text start="174.78" dur="3.92">sense that they&amp;#39;ll make sure that it</text><text start="176.04" dur="2.66">works with it</text><text start="178.8" dur="5.64">and of course if it&amp;#39;s got Linux as an</text><text start="182.819" dur="3.42">operating system to be installed there&amp;#39;s</text><text start="184.44" dur="4.32">a good chance it will work with FreeBSD</text><text start="186.239" dur="4.381">anywhere well I see sometimes you can</text><text start="188.76" dur="4.8">get that some companies may not offer</text><text start="190.62" dur="4.44">FreeBSD but if they offer Linux there&amp;#39;s</text><text start="193.56" dur="3.539">a good chance it&amp;#39;ll work so that&amp;#39;s</text><text start="195.06" dur="4.08">always something to bear in mind so yeah</text><text start="197.099" dur="4.341">give them a check out and see what you</text><text start="199.14" dur="2.3">can see</text><text start="203.64" dur="4.92">next is erax</text><text start="205.68" dur="6.18">Ed in Hayward and Los Gatos in</text><text start="208.56" dur="5.16">California uh excuse the nice</text><text start="322.08" dur="6.08">next is SW Technology based in Dallas</text><text start="325.74" dur="2.42">Texas</text><text start="329.1" dur="6.36">they do storage systems servers</text><text start="332.759" dur="4.201">Etc like the</text><text start="335.46" dur="3">other companies were mentioned but it</text><text start="336.96" dur="3.36">also says we have a full lineup of</text><text start="338.46" dur="2.94">pre-configured Linux and FreeBSD</text><text start="340.32" dur="4.2">machines</text><text start="341.4" dur="6.18">so we&amp;#39;ll have a look at</text><text start="344.52" dur="4.98">uh Xeon well we&amp;#39;ve got workstation the</text><text start="347.58" dur="2.7">Xeon workstation let&amp;#39;s have a look there</text><text start="349.5" dur="5.879">sells Linux machines or Linux compatible</text><text start="389.46" dur="4.5">machines as you would expect really a</text><text start="391.979" dur="4.081">lot of Hardware which is</text><text start="393.96" dur="4.5">to them which would be proven</text><text start="396.06" dur="3.66">compatible with Linux and again it&amp;#39;s</text><text start="398.46" dur="4.14">probably going to be compatible with</text><text start="399.72" dur="5.46">3bsd although there are some caveats and</text><text start="402.6" dur="5.039">there&amp;#39;s a long list of supported Linux</text><text start="405.18" dur="4.5">distros if this is something you might</text><text start="407.639" dur="4.981">be interested in uh it&amp;#39;s quite a lot of</text><text start="409.68" dur="5.519">arch and Manjaro</text><text start="412.62" dur="4.079">but yeah I don&amp;#39;t know whether this I</text><text start="415.199" dur="3.06">mean I don&amp;#39;t really keep up with the</text><text start="416.699" dur="3.241">latest thing but if say for instance</text><text start="418.259" dur="3.72">this is the latest technology and it</text><text start="419.94" dur="3.42">runs lurks yeah you might have a look of</text><text start="421.979" dur="3.78">it on free PST</text><text start="423.36" dur="5.52">and I think anyway I think even though I</text><text start="425.759" dur="5.401">don&amp;#39;t use Linux I think just having a an</text><text start="428.88" dur="4.68">expanding range of companies that sell</text><text start="431.16" dur="3.84">Linux based machines is a good thing</text><text start="433.56" dur="3.24">anywhere</text><text start="435" dur="4.68">yeah both</text><text start="436.8" dur="4.86">os&amp;#39;s will benefit from this of course</text><text start="439.68" dur="4.2">you&amp;#39;ve got peripherals that are most</text><text start="441.66" dur="5.819">likely to be compatible with Linux and</text><text start="443.88" dur="5.58">FreeBSD have a look and uh give them a</text><text start="447.479" dur="5.881">call if you have any questions</text><text start="449.46" dur="5.519">next we&amp;#39;ve got Netgear famously uh</text><text start="453.36" dur="6.26">renowned for the</text><text start="454.979" dur="4.641">networking gear based in Austin in Texas</text><text start="459.72" dur="3.06">I don&amp;#39;t think really many people need to</text><text start="461.52" dur="2.88">be introduced to Netgear if you&amp;#39;re in</text><text start="462.78" dur="4.919">the I.T sector</text><text start="464.4" dur="6.96">they do some fantastic routers</text><text start="467.699" dur="5.821">and switches Etc network cards but why</text><text start="471.36" dur="3.6">I&amp;#39;ve included them on here is you can</text><text start="473.52" dur="4.86">buy the netgate</text><text start="474.96" dur="5.459">systems with PF sense already installed</text><text start="478.38" dur="4.319">and if you already know that pfSense is</text><text start="480.419" dur="5.041">based upon FreeBSD</text><text start="482.699" dur="4.741">so in a sense you&amp;#39;re getting a FreeBSD</text><text start="485.46" dur="4.98">system pre-configured</text><text start="487.44" dur="5.52">the firewall networking Etc</text><text start="490.44" dur="4.86">and yeah I mean you could of course set</text><text start="492.96" dur="3.959">up a just a generic box and put FreeBSD</text><text start="495.3" dur="3.36">in a configure it manually of course you</text><text start="496.919" dur="4.5">can but this comes pre-configured</text><text start="498.66" dur="4.8">already set up with a fantastic GUI via</text><text start="501.419" dur="4.56">your browser</text><text start="503.46" dur="5.7">and they have a</text><text start="505.979" dur="4.56">a brilliant reputation</text><text start="509.16" dur="4.759">for knowing what they&amp;#39;re talking about</text><text start="510.539" dur="3.38">and they have good support as Netgear supplies everything you</text><text start="525.48" dur="5.4">could possibly need so they&amp;#39;ve got some</text><text start="527.519" dur="5.82">rack mounted devices some under start="674.64" dur="3.66">anyone else really doing the courses</text><text start="676.8" dur="4.5">there&amp;#39;s one or two other ones where</text><text start="678.3" dur="4.74">people can or can order bespark items</text><text start="681.3" dur="3.42">but here is a company that sells books</text><text start="683.04" dur="6">and t-shirts</text><text start="684.72" dur="7.52">uh DVD ROMs if you uh if you want the</text><text start="689.04" dur="5.94">collect the set some people do</text><text start="692.24" dur="6.46">and well they also offer support</text><text start="694.98" dur="5.16">technical support programs uh levels one</text><text start="698.7" dur="3.72">to three</text><text start="700.14" dur="5.04">or level zero to three</text><text start="702.42" dur="4.5">email phone gold Platinum 24 7 an</text><text start="705.18" dur="3.779">incident and of course if you&amp;#39;ve got</text><text start="706.92" dur="3.78">business with uh world of previous day</text><text start="708.959" dur="4.021">machines or you&amp;#39;re in that particular</text><text start="710.7" dur="4.98">market then you know it&amp;#39;s something</text><text start="712.98" dur="5.82">which is very useful and they&amp;#39;re</text><text start="715.68" dur="4.2">actually backed by IX systems IX systems</text><text start="718.8" dur="3.12">know what they&amp;#39;re talking about when it</text><text start="719.88" dur="4.199">comes to FreeBSD so you&amp;#39;ve got that</text><text start="721.92" dur="6.12">behind it which is pretty cool</text><text start="724.079" dur="6.421">next is FreeBSD Brazil based in Belo</text><text start="728.04" dur="6.78">Horizonte Brazil hopefully I pronounced</text><text start="730.5" dur="6.6">that properly the website is in Spanish</text><text start="734.82" dur="5.22">um Portuguese I don&amp;#39;t know which one it</text><text start="737.1" dur="4.38">is and yeah I could uh I can&amp;#39;t really</text><text dur="4.74">all be supporting ourselves so if you&amp;#39;re</text><text start="848.76" dur="4.92">in for that give them a call</text><text start="851.579" dur="3.661">next it needs no introduction if you&amp;#39;re</text><text start="853.68" dur="5.099">in the FreeBSD community and that&amp;#39;s</text><text start="855.24" dur="6.3">Clara Inc with Sabina and Alan as</text><text start="858.779" him doing with uh valve</text><text start="1849.44" dur="4.619">protons so he&amp;#39;s obviously doing</text><text start="1851.299" dur="3.901">something right I think it it&amp;#39;s</text><text start="1854.059" dur="4.141">something that we perhaps should</text><text start="1855.2" dur="5.64">encourage him and give him more support</text><text start="1858.2" dur="4.62">because really</text><text start="1860.84" dur="3.719">if he can crack this then it&amp;#39;s it&amp;#39;s</text><text start="1862.82" dur="5.76">going to be a fantastic thing and that&amp;#39;s</text><text integration</text><text start="2100.42" dur="5.48">lldb improvements</text><text start="2103.48" dur="5.4">DRM graphics driver updates Target</text><text start="2105.9" dur="6.82">linuxiliator compatibility improvements</text><text start="2108.88" dur="5.82">and the list goes on and on and on that</text><text start="2112.72" dur="5.7">they&amp;#39;ve sponsored and then
