bethe first real startup of os/2 one canonly hope because this this has been avery long installation process asuccessful installation but a longinstallation I think it's even longerthan installing Windows 98 be honestwith you so let's see if we could doanything fun I even found a game on awebsite for os/2 a native game for os/2that we're going to try out in a moment[Applause]and return them yeah this operatingsystem can be a little bit loud at leastsound works oh all right looks likewe're finally here what's thisos/2 warp the easiest way to a connectedworld must be some kind of tour see a controlpanel and this right here I believe asetup lets you run like an emulatedversion of Windows to run Windowsapplications which is something we'regoing to have to try out and it uses aWindows 3.1 that later and you can accessthe same programs through this herewindows programs that is so yeah that'sneat it comes with actual programs fromwhich one can come on here got chess Idon't know how to evenwork we'll just let it run it from thefloppydive routines are supported on thismachine but you have not but but youhave not full screen support okaywhatever that meanscyber ball that's the name of wasgoing to do but that worked and therewere other many other like major gamesmade for os/2 like SimCity and a coupleof others I can't think of right now butlet's see if we can set up Windows gameand to do that I was talking to theFlying Scotsman a while ago about thatapparently I need to install a specialsound driver and so we'll just go with avery very generic Sound Blaster driverthere we go I doubt we'll have MIDIsupport with this but it'll work goodenough for testing purposes let me gofind a game to try okay this should besimple enough of a game putt-putt goesto the moon designed specifically forDawson windows and of course we're goingto be installing the Windows version okI guess it's the on drive Dall right this looks normal enoughpuppet has been successfully installedoh you know what I don't think it has aproper video driver on here yeahwhen 32s has not been correctlyinstalled and that's that's lovely solet's see if we can take care of thatyou know probably should have restartedthis thing here start it back up yeahthat's not gonna work okay I think Iwill save the windows portion of OS 2for a separate video once I can getproper drivers installed on here but youcan see that it works well enough to doand that is os/2 warp the installationand in test drive of it I finally got touse it after all these years I'll Imight do more videos on os/2 in thefuture once I
