This is one of the small projects that I like very much.We selected it in 2016 as part of a civil society organisations local authority call for proposal.It was proposed by the city of Da Nang, which is one of the four major cities in Vietnam in thecentral part of the country.And with this project, the city of Da Nang was requesting the EU to support its transitiontowards solar energy development.This is really great because with this happening at the local level with the school, with thehospitals, with selected households, it has really triggered interest from the community.I think what is great about this project; what I like is the pilot project thatwere implemented at the school level.Because, while raising attention and awareness about renewable energies, the teacher andall the administrative staff of the school also took the opportunity to raise awarenesswith their children about their consumption, plastic waste, about use of efficient resources.The beauty of this is that the children went back home and educated their parents, thatis absolutely fantastic.On top of this, experts working on the project, which have built capacities of the private sector and policymakers,are also intervening at universities to train future engineers working in the energy sectorin Vietnam.So it's a very small local project, less than 400 thousand euros in three yearsand a half, but which makes much sense in the context of Vietnam
