the law of attraction has become widelypopular due to the success of the secretwhich is a book that has sold over 19million copies it states that if youwant something to happen you just haveto believe and think about it reallyhard and your thoughts will manifest itwhether it be events things or evenpeople if you believe in it hard enoughit will happen but just how true is thelaw of attraction i think that the lawof attraction is ninety percent correcti don't agree with how it says that yourthoughts manifest things with thoughtpowers of the universe because franklyin my opinion it's common sense why itworks see we have a thing right here atthe top of our heads called the brain ilike to think of the brain as aproblem-solving machine because that'swhat it is that's what it specializes inthat's how our DNA has survived the testof time for millions of years by havinga way to solve all of the obstacles andproblems that come your way you giveyour brain a problem it start solving itit's cold ok we need to build a fire andshelterwe're hungry okay we need to find foodsomehow you want to pass on your genesok we need to find a mate and the greatthing about our problem-solving machineis that it's the best type of problemsolving machine on the entire planetout of the 8 million other species onthis planet we're at the top of the foodchain because that's just how good ourproblem-solving machine is on top ofthat each of us shares about ninety-ninepoint nine percent of the coating ofthis problem solving machine or as welike to call it DNA with every otherhuman on earth even great scientistgreat athlete and powerful powerfulpeople so it's safe to say that themajority of people share in equallypowerful problem-solving machine thereason the law of attraction works isbecause that's just how good we are atsolving problems if you give yourproblem-solving machine a task tocomplete it starts looking around yourenvironment for things that solve thisproblem which is why people who decideto lose weight and start envisioningthemselves skinnier suddenly findthemselves surrounded with moreopportunities to learn about weight lossthey say well it must be the law ofattraction working the powers of theuniverse all of these forum post aboutketosis or intermittent fasting or thecoincidence of bumping into someone whogives you fitness adviceit's not the universe thatsetting you up those opportunities havealways been there it's just that younever notice them until you startedthinking about weight loss all the timeand this law can be applied to justabout anything you want to be rich thinkabout it and imagine yourself becomingrich you want a girlfriend think aboutit and imagine yourself alreadysucceeding and form you'll get agirlfriend now you might say well thisis intruders tons of things are wantedto go to never come aroundwell that's because the law ofattraction isn't a hundred percentaccurateyou can't just think and put somethingappears in front of you there are fourmistakes that people make which stopthem from accomplishing whatever it isthey want with the law of attractionnumber one they stopped giving theirbrain problems to solveif you look around this is extremelycommon nowadays people go out drinkingthey spend hours watching TV or netflixand scrolling through social media theyplay video games it's almost as ifpeople are running away from realitythey don't want to sit down andcontemplate what their problem-solvingmachine needs to work on nextin fact it gets so anxious about thefuture to incapacitate themselves in anyway possiblethey're basically turning their machineoff so if you tell people you want to besuccessful and start your own companyyou spend six days a week under somesort of influence whether it be weedalcohol TV or pornyou're never going to solve this problembecause guess what your machine isn'teven turned on the second mistake thatpeople make is that they try solvingunsolvable problems there's certainproblems your problem-solving machinecannot solve there's simply no correctanswer for example let's say that you'rein a toxic relationship you've beentogether for a long time but things havebeen sour for a while there's argumentsbreak up getting back togethermanipulation lack of trust you spend somuch time worrying about how to fix therelationship when in reality it might besomething that you can't really solvesometimes there's simply nothing you cando to fix something and it's best tojust walk away another example of anunsolvable problem is trying to go backin time to fix something many of usspend large periods of timeruminating about the past oh I shouldhave done this in high school or oh Ishould have said this to so-and-so whenyou do this you're telling aproblem-solving machine to solve thisproblem but itit's not possible there's no way you cango back in time and solve itso in the end you're just wasting moretime the third mistake is that peoplegive their brain problems thatcontradict each other i would say thatthis is actually the number one mostdetrimental mistake that people makebecause it's something that flies underthe radarlet's say for example you want to be ina relationship you think about it allthe time but at the same time you spendtime thinking about why you don'tdeserve to be in a relationshipmost people who are single who reallyreally really want to be in arelationshipdon't think they're attractive or doubttheir abilities to court a member of theopposite sexso in this case you're telling aproblem-solving machine to do two thingsnumber one looks for ways to get into arelationship number to look for proofthat i will never be in a relationshipthe solution to the second problemnegates the solution to the firstproblem in order to find proof thatyou'll never be in a relationship willstart acting in a way that will make itso that you won't be in a relationshipanother example of this is very presentin my group of childhood friends theyall say they want to own their ownbusiness and make a ton of money but atthe same time they don't believe takingrisk is safe nor possible so in thiscase they're telling theirproblem-solving machine to solve twoproblems number one look for ways tostart a business and make a ton of moneynumber to look for proof that takingrisk is not face nor possible again yourbrain is unable to solve problem onewhen it's looking for answers to problemtwo because if you're looking for proofthat risk is not possible you're goingto skip over every opportunity thatcould eventually grown into a thrivingbusinessthe fourth and final problem people makeis that they don't give their brainenough time to solve a problem let's sayyour goal is to build a six-figurebusiness realistic even if you knewexactly what to dohow long do you think that would takeyou even the smartest and brightestwould have to work for at least a yearor two in order to accomplish this goalfrom nothing but you're not the smartestyou're not the brightest you don't knowwhat to doso that means they'll take you anywherefrom two to maybe even 10 years ofconstantly asking your problem-solvingmachine to solve this problem in orderto solve the problem people are veryimpatient they think okay law ofattractionI'll think about my six-figure businessreally hard for like a week or a monthbut if you ask any successful businessownerthe first model business was like theanswer is well it usually sucked reallybad but the reason they succeed is thatthey continue to ask the problem-solvingmachine to solve this problem as long asit takes until it's solved itthe key to making the law of attractionwork for you really comes down to yourability to turn on your problem-solvingmachine constantly ask it to solve oneproblem to clear your mind of any otherproblems that would contradict that oneproblem and to make sure that you'reasking a problem that can be solvedthat's why although all this magic willtalk about thinking and envisioning yourgoalssounds like bullshit it's actually verypowerful and effective because when youenvision a goal and you're thinkingabout it all the time you're tellingyour problem-solving machine i want thatso let's get to work and that's itit's simple!
