Great fusion of veggies you'll probably have in your fridge or larder - mixed with the indian element of Gram flour (Chick Pea flour).

are you indian??? why use american accent when the indian english one is more clear and vivid.?///

Thank you for posting, I am not vegetarian however; these look so good I am going to try them.

Yeah! thats the spirit! Mixing different bean flours will give you much varied nutrition also - each bean will have it's set of nutrients, amino acids (proteins) . You're enthusiasm is great! :) Happy cooking, Namaste!

Yeah, for sure Ketchup! Have any relish, chutneys - just go with what your tastebuds say :) Put them in a bun with salad stuff and make a different burger!

Thanks = I had never thought about using chickpea flour as a binder. Is it the best thing to use as a binder? What are some other options?

damn, they look so good, im trying this recipe for sure :)

I use chick pea flour for it's stickness and binding properties when it absorbs the vegetables moisture. Normal flour - I presume wheat, plain/ general purpose flour right. I'd not recommend it as it won't cook in the same time as chick pea flour does. Experiment however and see what happens, and let me know :)

pt4 Is chick pea flour more healthy than whole wheat flour?

Besant? Do you mean Besan? If so, Besan is chick pea (chana) flour. You can use a fine flour like chick pea flour that can bind, absorb and stick the ingredients together. :) Happy cooking.!

Finally, a recipe without eggs! Thank you.

I would think that olive oil or canola would be healthier than vegetable oil, as we know it.

pt2 I'm happy to find a recipe on here that doesn't require egg.

pt1 My own vege pattys weren't this good.

Spot on! The natural moisture of the veggies binds with the chick pea flour so we can shape them into patties or burgers.

How many calories are in each patty?

from one vegan to another this is a great recipe x

Thanks again for your reply, and for putting up your great vegetarian recipes. I'm now gonna have fun experimenting with different bean flours--like mung bean flour and lentil flour, as well as chick pea flour--and see what sort of veg patties result. Ta !

LOL! At that time broadband internet wasn't as wide spread - people had dial up, so I was trying to keep the length of the videos short - hence the rush! I'll do some new videos that will be less rushed :)

i am just not starting off as a vegetarian and i was wondering what these taste like.

Did you drain and squeeze the grated potatoes to get rid of the moisture?

@drakendrones : Thats awesome! Going veggie is not hard, really - it's easy! Look around on the net and youtube for veggie recipes and ideas.. or message me with any questions about vegetarianism you might have (being life veggie and vegan now). :)

Depends.. usually veg. oil over in the UK is from rapeseed (this is Canola) - which is good on omega 6 & 3.

I made these the other day, sooooo yummy, thanks!!!

@islam4eternity : you could, they'll be drier (as baked). You'd need to add a little oil in the mixture if you want to bake. Oil isn't bad, use a little, we're not frying them, only using it help cook. Good luck :)

Wonderful, can I use normal flour instead of chickpea flour. Or is that a big no?
Report spam or abuse
Yes, I see, Besan is chick pea flour. I haven't bought it for years. Forgive my error. (Not Annie Besant!) But I remember a lentil flour, too, available at health food shops that they make pappadams out of. Could it be used as a binder, too? Thanks a million!
