Both, Sabian and Zildjian,  have a distinct sound... But I'd go for Sabian...

Wuhan beats all Big brand chinas in quality and price

zildjian just has that distinct sound

@SicSociophobiac Well when nobody in town is hiring and you need a china that, to your ears, sounds good and is affordable, Wuhan's a good choice. I can't stand entry/intermediate-level chinas from the likes of Zildjian, Sabian and such, they sound so glassy and clean. But that's just me. I've had a Wuhan 12" china on my set for about half a year now, it's been holding up just fine. If I was willing to spend around a hundred bucks I'd just get a Stagg SH or DH china.

Agazarian own all this together lol

I vote paiste for best looking. Meinl has the most "character"

they all have too long substain

Sabian is the best. honestly the B8Pro series from Sabian sound better than a lot of other high priced cymbals as far as my ears are concerned.

Thank you!!! Going with the Meinl!

What the on earth are you saying?!!

i think the cymbal depends on its player .

They should've taken the Paiste Alpha China. It's one of the best Chinas ever, man! And it could be considered mid-level as well, for it isn't very expensive.
Report spam or abuse
I am a big fan of Sabian but I love the trashy sound of zildjians more. So the zxt

I really dont like the Paiste chinas. Like seriously, it doesnt sound like a china. It sounds more like a cross between a splash and a crash. It just doesnt have that china effect to it like the other cymbals. Personally i like the Zildjian

@WhenxChristxReturns Im not a huge fan of wuhan regular cymbals but i love there chinas......hes one of the drummers that hate just cause it doesent say zildjian sabian or paiste
Report spam or abuse
I hav a question: should I get the paiste pst3 or pst5 china? I think I should go for the pst5
Report spam or abuse
sabian = bad paiste = good zildjian = surprisingly good meinl = BEAST

@keebaeklim Paiste is the most durable solid-cymbal and the 2nd most durable cymbal. Wuhan's are thin as fuck & they break too easily. Alpha's are durable as hell. Guess which is the most durable and also the LOUDEST cymbal ever made.... XD
Report spam or abuse
I liked zildjian the best. Even though I like almost everything sabian makes... that was a pretty awesome china compared to the B8pro.
Report spam or abuse
Go for the Paiste. I have the 18" PST. After nearly 3 years it still sounds great, trust me
Report spam or abuse
Zildjian (nice and trashy), Paiste (too pangy), Sabian (too cheapy), Meinl (too filtery)
Report spam or abuse
Paiste china is too clean for a china. Zildjian takes this
Report spam or abuse
Zildjian for its trashy sound. The meinl. Sabian sucks

I personally love sabians, but zildjian makes the best effects cymbals. Nobody can make a trashier china then them.

nah im sorry the sabian one sound sick..the rest sound like theyre still regualr cymbals with a china mixed into em
Report spam or abuse
@princesite132 yeah thanks I'm gonna be getting paiste pst5 8" splash, 14" hi hat, 14" crash, 16" crash, 18" crash, 18" china and a 20" ride, not that bad huh? :D
Report spam or abuse
Definitely the sabian! All the other ones are just way too pitchy on the high end. Sabian has a lil lower end, more like a Crashy trashy washy all in one definitely the sabian ! Check out the holy china! They sound amazing! I have the 21" I will not trade it for anything!

1.zildjian zxt, 2.b8pro, 3.meinl, 4. paiste pst5 tomorrow i´ll buy the zxt.. oh yeah
Report spam or abuse
1.Meinl, 2.Paiste, 3.Sabian, 4.Zildjian.

@Jellybeanamania pst5 is made from bronze, but pst3 from brass, so pst5 is whith biger durability and i think, sounds better too1
Report spam or abuse
That Sabian sounds disgusting, but I'm considering the Paiste and Zildjian.

@WhenxChristxReturnsx You nooby son of a cunt. Neil Pert doesn't have SHIT to do with how horrible Wuhans sound. If anything, saying that he played on them only counts as another bad strike against them. And sure, they're dark and trashy. I used to use them when I was starting out in music. Once you join a band and start using your cymbals live, you realize that it only takes one well-played breakdown to crack a Wuhan to the point of it being useless. Grow the fuck up, and buy a big-boy cymbal.

@SicSociophobiac not true, i obviously think the zildjian top range china's are better than wuhan's, but wuhan's are far better than these crappy budget ones. and china's are SUPPOSED to sound trashy, wuhan's are like £20 and zildjian GOOD ones are like £200-£300, and plus china's break much easier than any other cymbals, so there's no point blowing your money on something that's going to break. WUHAN"S WIN.
Report spam or abuse
The Zildjian sounded mad. Its the exact cymbal im after too :)
Report spam or abuse
@ABCdeeeefgee Well, unless you didnt notice due to your obviously terrible hearing, it gives off more resonance and tone. I bet you think Rock Band actually teaches you how to play drums too. Fuck off kid.
Report spam or abuse
1. Paiste... Paiste of course, because I'm a big fan of Paiste cymbals. :-D 2. Sabian 3. Meinl 4. Zildijan :-)
Report spam or abuse
@TheAceOfTheCase true that..i own a 22 inch wuhan china and SOAB..cant compare any other china to them haha
Report spam or abuse
wuhan sounds good but us crappy quality and cracks faster than all of these. and why bring them up in this vid?

Report spam or abuse
@maurerdrums Depends really on the sound you're looking for. I'm not too fussed about brand name, I look for two things in a cymbal. A unique sound that compliment my kit, and the ability to withstand a little bit of a beating. That said, I'd not come across many cymbals that shatter, so my last point is a little redundant. I just don't want everything on my kit to sound the same.

@ABCdeeeefgee Wow, you're just so dumb, i can't even begin to insult you.

Zildjian is fucking good... But Meinl is quite good too... Don't know which to choose.

@SicSociophobiac Somebody has anger issues, you sound like a girl on her period XD I do have a band and have played live before. No, it takes an idiot smashing on a cymbal for it to be useless, obviously your own fault.

i have a wuhan 18' china check out my vids to see if you like it...personally i like wuhan the most
Report spam or abuse
i have that zildjian ZXT china..... its not that awesome
Report spam or abuse
imho, saluda makes the best chinas. traditional, trashy as hell and they don't sound like these "crashes"
Report spam or abuse
I personally am a Sabian guy, but I don't like they're B8 cymbals, especially the chinas. They're just lacking, when you get the AA, AAX, HH, HHX or any of the customs then it starts to sound decent
Report spam or abuse
@TheRevProdigy777 Yeah it's their own one tho...
Report spam or abuse
i luv the "kaahh" sound you get from chinas, so zxt for me.

The meinl kinda sounds like a crash i like sabians, i wont buy anything else ive never broke one in my 18 yrs ov metal drumming, i broke a zildjian a custom in less than a month they are not made for metal i think
Report spam or abuse
Wuhan chinas are a hit or miss really, either you get a good sounding one or one that cracks easy and has just enough overtones to sound like shit. If the PST5 china came in 20" id get it, they're so cheap and durable

Report spam or abuse
I have the PST5 china but 16".... It's an awesome china! It's quick and trashy

@SicSociophobiac I haven't had those problems with the Wuhans I've had. Yeah, it sounds pretty nice in the song, but of course it will after being mic'd up and tons of editing is done. Oh well, to each his own.
