Odd Couple - Outtakes from TV Series

by dutchdummy • 332,351 views

Hilarious outtakes from the classic television series 'The Odd Couple'. Check out the remarkably un-PC 'spit take' towards the end. This video is from the bonus DVD included in Jack Klugman's book...

The only sitcom I ever loved!

+Bob Vanderburgh Thank you, so very much, for this - it will always be ne of the funniest series. The incredible talents of messers Klugman, Randall, as well as the terrific writing, and the great ensemble work of Mr. Molinaro, Ms. Marshall, et. al, make this the best way for sure laughs.

6:07 Randall: "Do you know why they're called Queerios?" Klugman: "Why?" Randall: "You put milk under them, they start to eat each other." Haha! Don't let the time period associated with "wholesome entertainment" fool you. Even though Randall and Klugman had to keep it clean on the show, it's obvious from these outtakes that stars back in the day had all the raunchy fun off-screen that stars today have onscreen!

I think I saw somewhere that there is a new "Odd Couple" coming to CBS soon.  Please help me on this one.  Thanks.

Heard the critics weren't impressed with the pilot, saying Mathew Perry who played Oscar Madison in the new version was bad at acting the role, but Thomas Lennon pretty much faired better at it as the clean-freak Felix Unger. All in all, it needs to grow and improve, otherwise, it will be another sitcom flushed down the tubes like Perry's last show, 'Go on', which was promising, but got axed anyway the studio exes.

iNSIDE jOKE AT  4:28 Randall says "Emmy Winner play your part". Ranbdall was very pissed it took the Emmys 5 years to give him the Emmy for The Odd Couple. On receiving it..(which he should have received after season 2) he actually stated "I DONT THANK YOU, I should have gotten this a LONG time ago" and walked off  TRUE story. It aired in 1975.

Ever notice that today we have nothing in regards to a comedy show on TV?  It seems TV today is dumb reality shows (scripted poorly) or talent contests......You see what happens when you have no smart writers?

Its nice to see Jack Klugman......From what I understood there was nothing that he wouldn't do for Tony Randall through the years.  They were always the best of friends.

Don't worry Jack, i wasn't a fan of friends anyways [:

Klugman sounds very hoarse in this video.

Al Morinaro played Al on Happy Days and there was a shot on this video of Pat Morita who played Arnold. Both ran Arnold's restaurant at different times.

This is great! I knew they were good friends and had a really good time together, but this really confirms it.

Now both Oscar and Felix are up above, sharing an apartment in Heaven! RIP,Jack and Tony.

Were you one of HIS health care providers dude? If not, how do you know this because I never heard it. I heard after his throat cancer operation he needed to learn how to speak again and was missing one vocal chord which is what caused that raspy voice. Also, wasn't his death technically due to prostate cancer and not his throat cancer?

It didn't get better than this show. In fact, since then, it's been downhill all the way, hasn't it?

Depending on what episode it was, then I would watch the Twilight Zone at 1am. Other than that I would just go to sleep.

They sure don't make TV like they used to. Do you think All in the family, or The Jefferson's would make it? Hell no. Everybody has to be so fucking politically correct now.

Love the Odd Couple!!! They had such great chemistry together,
Report spam or abuse
In the old days they could do a half hour sitcom without any course sexual humor....nice that's all we get.

I Loved this Show and Miss Tony!

@Baltimorehop I was always called the black Felix when I was growing up with my mother. Always cleaning up everything in our Brooklyn apartment. LOL

Back in the day when all these shows were on, we didn't realize (at the time) how damn good tv was. Think of tv then vs. now and it's painfully obvious.

I miss those days so much, thanks for this.

Me & my friend Raymond use to portray Oscar & Felix. I was Oscar and Ray was Felix. We were two 13 yr old Black kids who absolutely loved the Odd Couple. This was television from a different planet . I don't know what the hell happened to hollywood. We are light years away from what we had. God Bless Tony & Jack. We will alway's love you guy's.

Was the spit take at the end just a gag on the set ? Or did they put it in an episode ? Anyway, great outtakes ! Miss Tony so much, and Jack is the last man standing :)

LOL i know about the 1 mil. I dont think I am the one to collect it. Tom Campbell and Dean Raden are two researchers who have conducted some interesting research. Also look at the quantum research - it seems to supports Cambell's and Raden's model. I am not making a claim in any direction. Just interesting.

Great awesome work and thank you for sharing these precious moments. I will be performing a scene from the Odd couple, with the Pigeon this June at the Tarrytown theater. It will be my privilege to perform a night of Neil Simon in Honor of Tony Randall. Thank you Mr. Klugman

not dreaming - ive taught physics and geology for the last 16 years. this past summer a long time friend told me of paranormal activities he and his family experienced up in Maine. if his information is correct then the scientific model of reality is at least, incomplete. if you dont have an open mind then your ability to lean new information is limited. Cheers to Felix and Oscar!!!

Nowadays TV is bad because there are no more rehearsals to work on each episode, as well as writers being less and less imaginative ,creative or original. And the TV director has become almost extinct in their duties, and actors merely puppets with no say so in what's going on. There's no collaboration. Decisions are made last minute by the writers and (unoriginal) producers, both the director and actors are puppets

You were also a beautiful human being Jack! Thank you for the eternal laughter!
