i forgot allah, i became too westernized. He gave me a beautiful wife who was religious and caring. I betrayed her trust and now i lost everything. I have nothing left and no reason to live. My circumstances are dire and i know my life will end soon. I looked at religion as a joke rather than a path that would have prevented all the suffering and pain i caused. I listen to this surrah everyday and it reminds me of how praying and listening to recitations as this gave me peace. I hope allah forgives me one day.

Please, please don't despair! The fact that you have gained such self-awareness is itself a gift from Allah! Subhanallah! There are many people that die in a state of no remorse, no understanding of their sins. The repayment of a bad action is one equivalent to it. But if someone pardons and puts things right, his reward is with Allah. (Qur'an, 42:40) On the authority of Anas, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah say: Allah the Almighty has said: “O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great as its.” Such is the expanse of forgiveness given to us! May your wife forgive you and may your marriage be saved! Everything is destined in Islam. All you can do is repent with the most sincerest of hearts. Take your wife to umrah and hajj with you. Bond spiritually. Build her trust. You CAN move on from all this. Make sure you try better than your best so you have no regrets. Write to her everyday. Text messages. Letters. Express your repentance and your intention and your planned path to the Islamic way. Disassociate yourself with any bad company so she can trust you. I am praying for you right now. For your forgiveness and recovery of your marriage. Ameen!

People get emotional and cry when they listen to Mozart, or Bach or read poetry, etc. Just because this surah moves people to tears has nothing to do with Allah or the truth or falsity of the Quran.

Now this is Islam.  not those  terrorists  who are made by Israel. if  2 billion  Muslims were terrorist ,  a  world war would  happen.  That would  be the last world war.  at a time i thought no one is paying me millions of dollar for being a christian or Muslim.  nothing goes or  comes for the Muslims  if  i don't convert. then i started to study about my religion (Christianity and Islam ) . what can i say i have never realized anything before. Al Qur'an is the  only book what is not written by any Human.      wake up people .............  if you got some ego problem  then  just   In your mind   think about Allah  at least one time.  you will feel  it. Don't say it to anyone if  you  are afraid of what people will think about you . Take your personal decision in your mind  just like i did.   Allah is the only God.             (Former christian)

Correct me if im wrong. The first ayah of al-Fatihah is Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Did he missed it?
Report spam or abuse
Peace be upon you dear Brother! The first ayah of Surat Al Fatiha isn't Bismillaharrahmanrahim. You said before starting any Surah. Some Imams and majorly in the Middle East say Bismillaharrahmanrahim to themselves quietly just like the Imam in this video did. Some other Imams do it loudly before the beginning of each Surah. Then, some others only say it when reciting Fatiha. But in the Quran there is a Bismillaharrahmanrahim before every Surah. Hope that helped Brother!
Report spam or abuse
Same as well peace be upon you brother. You are right.I think most of the imam bismil recite by quietly. But if they did,nt recite bismil its wrong.

Stunningly beautiful recitation. But humanity could surely do without the disgusting vilification of non-believers. Is it really a surprise that some Muslims are killing and threatening infidels when they are constantly demonized throughout Islamic theology?  Peace to All.

Islams kingdom is of this world. Jesus kingdom is not of this world. That is the reason why Jesus did not allow violence of any kind because the world is not worth fighting over. Isaac is the son Abraham was told to sacrifice not Ishmael.

How come they find this verse so emotional. What is the context of this passage?
Report spam or abuse
These verses are demonstrating the weakness of Mankind and glory of God.   We all are fallible and can be easily misguided by Satan and his minion of helpers.  God is telling us that good and evil cannot be equal.  And showing us the path to happiness in this temporary life and hereafter.  Hell is real and those who chose to forsake their Lord and Creator for the short-term gains in this world through evil will surely face judgement and punishment in the next life which they deny.  Hedonism in this life will bring destruction and despair in the next. However, God through his mercy and love is promising an everlasting life in Paradise for those who submit themselves to His will and worship only Him.  A human being that realizes the power and glory of God is touched.  Fear of our Master and Lord incites emotion..

+Jibril Sebastian My dear friend,It's nothing to do with the number 666. First of all I'm a muslim and for your better information; according to the Hadith of Hazrath Ayesha (RA) there are 6666 Ayath(Verses) in the holy Quran.  It's not that you counted it from different suras but there many equivalent of ''Commas'' where you has to stop during the recitations. So, including them it's 6666. And that's the correct number of verses. I hope you find your answer.

Allah is the most merciful, but thinking that he will forgive, we should not continue doing wrongful things which are prohibited by Allah. An sincere advise from my side, change your companions and try to be in the such group which always remind you of Allah tabarak w tala. And perform 2 rakat salatut- tauba and shed some tears with lot of regret on the sins which were done. Insha Allah the almighty will forgive within second. For forgiveness we should be firm that, henceforth i will not commit any sins and remaining life i will spent of rightful path of Allah. May Allah guide us all.
