1995 Cadillac hitting 100,000 miles.

by Bubba long • 2,380 views

My Cadillac hits 100,000 miles and still averages 32MPG at 55MPH, 27MPG AT 70MPH.

@trailertrash20010 yup, putting reg gas lacks the mpg on the vehicle, but doesnt hurt it

I just bought a 95 cadillac deville 4.9L like yours and I had a question, when the ignition is turned off...is the clock supposed to stay on, because mine does and I was wondering if it drains the battery at all.

our car makes that "Pinging" noise when we accel., it's just from miles, they say if u run premium gas through it, it would make it stop, but it costs more than normal gas, and it has to always be premium gas, or it will come back, we have a 95 sedan deville 4.9 liter v8!

the highest ive ever got in my 1999 deville was 20.2 mpg......but i use reg gas, not premium could that be the problem?

I had a 1999 Cadillac Deville. I drove it 621 miles from Flint, MI to Clarksville, TN without stopping for gas. When I filled up I had 3 gallons left. It averaged 30.1 mpg at 65 mph. The book said it had a 20 gallon tank but you could put in 24. I drive a 2006 DTS now and I miss that mileage and tank size.

i doubt that your really getting 32 mpg that computer is probably not to accurate

I'm glad you have some proof of the mpg and posted this video. We've had several (older) Cadillacs in my family and I HATE it whenever I encounter people who say "Oh Cadillacs are such gas guzzlers." I had two '84 Sevilles that got at least 21 mpg (at the lowest) when they were running properly, My '95 Deville has 152,000ish miles on it and I get about 24-25 at ~70mph (and 29 at 80mph).

I really appreciate you taking your time and writing me this. The clock display stays on no matter what, but I've had the car for about three months now and there hasn't been any problems. The reason I wrote this question in the first place was because when I first bought it, I let it sit for a week and didn't start it. When I did it the battery was completely drained, but I think the dealership just gave me a bad battery. Thanks again.
