Well Done Nigel Farage.  What a breath of fresh air to listen to a Politician who speaks clearly and also tells the truth at the same time. Maggie Thatcher was said to have balls, and this guy certainly has balls, compared to all those clowns and Muppets in the European Parliament ............ David Hadfield

You can, but it wasn't setup properly from the start to respect the productivity of each country. This currency and monetary union unfortunately does not and as a result it needs to be removed.

Bleh. More regulation won't get us out of this mess. We need to reform our entire monetary system. Get the state out of monetary affairs altogether. *This* is what got us into this mess in the first place. The state is no better at being in charge of money production than it is being in charge of auto-mobile or potato-production.

Oh really, most multicultural? Let's see the ridiculous immigration policy. There are so many myths created that everyone is coming on overcrowded boats - to Australia none the less - and people believe it. Watch this video and maybe do some research for yourself later: v=wOI_skq5TuM

just seems to me like we, the UK, are getting such a poor deal out of this EU. We put alot in (as in 50million quid a day) and get absolutely fuckall in return. These guys are so ingrateful! It's about time we left the EU. Everyone in the EU hates us anyway.

It's too late for that. And you have yourselves to blame for that. Your kings and queens did not care for the influx of subhumans when they invaded their countries. They stole their resources and traded opium. It was hundreds of years ago and yet you suffer the consequences right now. So cheers. I hope that you're happy. The trend is already irreversible. Your country will be an Islamic Jamahyria in 20 years.

That can also be contributed to the history of the gold standard, because every currency that was backed by a commodity also failed. You obviously do not understand the history of the American banking system if you sit there and say that the gold standard was a more stable period in the American banking system than now. It is also amazing that you would say that a country without a central banking system is more stable also. You obviously do not know history or economics.

The British culture has always been that regardless of race or religion, if you accept British values then you can be part of it yourself. This is why at one time 80% of British subjects were non white. This stupid idea does not reflect UKIP policy or attitude. The particular club for that mode of thinking is called the BNP and the two sets of ideas do not overlap. UKIP feeling we need to control our borders again (like every country outside the EU does) isn't racist, it's economically sensible.

I FRICKIN LOVE THIS GUY!!! I've seen practically all his speeches. Why can't we have politicians like that in North America, especially now that Ron Paul's wings have been clipped by the Luciferian ruling class.

There is a real chance, that in the not so distant future, Barroso will one day be found swinging from a Brussels lamp post. Probably when the EU declare martial law.

If you are saying that Ron Paul and Nigel Farage are equal in knowledge on economics then I will have to disagree with you. I have never heard Farage go on a long rambling on the edge of ridiculousness about how Europe should be on a gold standard. Nigel Farage knows economics and how the economy works, Ron Paul is just senile.

If you are voting UKIP to do something about immigration, don't bother, their "solution" to immigration? To allow all the ones already here to stay (20 odd % of our country), and also to add more, making their already insane % higher and higher. This is not the solution, in fact it is making the problem worse. It was a crime to allow 20 odd % of our country be foreign, we have to stop immigration, and also begin a repatriation programme to get the numbers back down to a reasonable level.

Ok, so, do you think its to late to do anything about this (in terms of saving civilisation as we know it ?). I know in the US preparedness has alsways been popular. Not so muchin the UK (i dont know about Europe). I watched a doc on Argentina in 2001 where the banks closed there doors. I think, whoever has 'won' of all this money will ensure we have just enough scraps to prevent a complete meltdown.

How did the free markets work out for the banks? No, there are areas where a free market is superior when we're buying a shirt, a car or shopping groceries. But when it comes down to the citizen service and the citizen value, there are territories that should be free from market interests.

A country is the product of its race. It is the genius of our white race which has made Europe. Our race has invented practically everything, motor cars, aeroplanes, telephones, computers, light bulbs, electricity, refridgeration, space ships, etc., etc., etc. We are the direct descendants of the most intelligent, inventive people possibly imaginable. For our race, race mixing will only reduce our race, and thereby our countries, to almost their level.

That's a reasonable answer. But come to think of it, he has been speaking numerous times already. He should by now get the feel of the time already without looking at it. Besides, what is the difference between 2 minutes and 2:30 minutes? A speaker wouldn't really care about that. We can see many speakers continue speaking beyond the time limit and not keep looking at the clock like he does.

The way you worded that makes no sense. But to answer you, bureaucracies are not the greatest tools for management but they are more effective than a barbaric standard that does not allow for economic growth.

Listen here buddy, Australia is one of the most urbanised countries in the world and most multicultural nations on earth. Australia does not have this problem with different ethnic groups. If there are ghettos in your country, blame your government. We have Polish, Bulgarian, Albanians,Turks, Iranians etc, most are law abiding citizens. Don't label these people..next time you vote..think!

They are just words, he has not change nothing I been listening to him from 2008. He only talks. He does not know economics, economists predict before the crisis not during a crisis, he started yapping during a crisis, steven keen & ron paul are one of the few that predicted this in early 2000. the are economists

banking wasn't a free market. the reason national banks worldwide were reducing their interest rates to stupid levels over the last 30 years was to encourage banks to lend out more money, which took away any risk involved with lending. there was hardly any incentive for banks to hold onto their money.

Tell that to the population of equitorial Guinea (or any other population being abused by self appointed strongmen. I agree wih what yr saying to an extent - but many populations depend on the honesty and morality of people in positions of power ( I quickly picked equitorial guniea as an example of an oil rich country with a dirt poor population.

I hereby declare Mr Farage to be a "natural born" citizen of the United States of America.Having done so,I urge him to run for the Presidency of the US!!!! Please,Mr Farage, announce your candidacy! As you've so rightly observed Europe's finished...kaput! But the US hasn't reached that point just yet.It can still be saved. If you don't wish to be President at least announce that you're available to be Romney's VP.

God I get tired of the people talking about Gold in dollar terms. It is judged by purchasing power NOT dollar value. It IS money, so it is ridiculous to measure it in terms of other money. Gold actually doesn't perform poorly, in terms of purchasing power, during deflation. Gold does have some fluctuations, but it is a much more stable measurement of value than fully floated currencies. Add to that inflation that is certain in our future, and you have an excellent store for one's wealth.

I cant agree.I think that Europe is an example to America that Republicans despise. At its best Europe has a great welfare,Trade union, health service and social responsibility.Low teen pregnancy, prison population, murder, crime, obesity, suicide, child abuse and neglect etc etc. Relative to USA model which is closer to economic Libertarianism than Europe, Europe is an example for grass roots progressive Americans. To the cold Christian Republicans its a huge fear,so they use the likes of Farage.

You don't need Glass-Steagal, you just need to correct the crux of the matter: home ownership and easy monkey, i.e. low interests rates. Look at Canada, they had no such Glass-Steagal regulations, but their banks didn't face such a crisis. Could it be that their housing market was not goaded by such mechanisms as GSEs, FHA, HEC, SEC, CRA- all of which made encouraged bad behavior, and removed the appearance of risk in the markets. start addressing the symptoms, not the disease!

The solution is inside ourselves. No 'system' is going to set us free. The problems we see around the world are a outward symptom of our inner state, which is - most of the time - not peaceful. If we are not able to experience peace within, we will not experience it in the outside world either. No system can change this. Only one person can change it, and that person is you.

I wonder how often dear old Farage has to be right until the EU leaders (like Barroso and Van Rompuy) finally admit that he has been right on quite a lot of major predictions (like that spain would need a bailout: He predicted it I think one or even two years back!), and start to do something that will NOT worsen it all. By the way: I don't think Farage is a genius or a psychic when it comes to these predictions. I rather think that the EU leaders are blind and deaf to the misery they cause.

Yes I agree. Markets need to be able to liquidate the malinvestments. And the Gov needs to let it happen. I want to buy more rental property, but I can't compete with a bank that can hold a property forever waiting for prices to rise, because they can count on a gov bailout. I know what a house in my area is worth and what it can produce in rents. If we want to get things moving again, we need to have a fire sale...and cut gov spending. Ron Paul was one of a few that predicted all this mess.
