Original Air Date: July 30th, 2009 We also have one or both Chavez games for the Sega Genesis, but the SNES Chavez games are a bit more interesting given their circumstances. They were released...

@kokubunji That's reasonable as that's likely where it was most common, though it's a pretty hot commodity these days (well, for collectors anyhoo). A complete copy is worth a bit, though I just have a cart. The Gen/MD version is considerably more common though.

You want to know the strange thing about these games? I have both Chavez (in a box) and Chavez II. Both of these games I got this year from independent video game stores. And I got them both in the Northeast part of the U.S.

Dude, the game wasn't rare at all. Detail was, both Chavez games were released exclusively for Mexico (who knows if it also arrived to South America).

They should have a manny pacquiao boxing game

That's cool that you get to do all that customization. A rare feature back in the SNES days. And the facial damage, blood and sweat, graphics are cool too.

@kokubunji I'm aware of the details about them being distributed in the Southwestern U.S. and Mexico. Chavez II for the SNES was not distributed in large quantities (the first one and the Genesis game were much more common) due to the circumstances in which the SNES game was ported (later date and after Chavez's first loss to Frankie Randall in 1994).
