The Who - Amazing Journey/Sparks - Kansas City 1975 (9, 10)

Kemper Arena, Kansas City, December 1, 1975 - Great versions of these Tommy classics. 1. I Can't Explain 2. Substitute 3. Squeeze Box 4. Baba O'Riley 5. My Wife 6. Behind Blue Eyes 7. Dreaming From...

Moon's drums were always mixed too low during the '75-'76 tour. Possibly, because his performance was not up to par with the late 60s, early 70s. Clearly, he had lost that extra gear by the mid 70s. Remember, he was only in his late 20s at this time, so the booze and drugs had clearly taken a huge toll on him.

I was at this show. Wow great band Keith Moon still there. Saw my first lazer light display there. Toots and the Maytals opened (wtf?). It was awesome. I think Who by Numbers was just released at the time.

Pete's really gettin' his "freak" on here with these riffs. Would have loved to been there.

I was there. Toots and the Maytals opened. Sat about 10 rows up directly behind stage. It sold out earlier and that AM they opened up the seats behind the stage. I remember: Keith Moon attacking the drums; a Teac reel to reel on stage left rear taping the show; about 8 Les Paul guitars on stands stage left, each with a big number on it. Very, very cool. Have never experienced a concert with that much energy from a band.

WOW! This is pretty friggin' mind blowing and is as good as any early '70's performance!
