Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus PS Vita Review

by DEIVION212 • 10,434 views

!THIS GAME HAS TROPHIES! This is a review of the PS Vita game Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus.

Well thankfully the Vita has been designed with big hands in mind so it's no problem for me. Unlike the Wiimote, which is far to small for me.

the way you use magic seems pointless and anouying, but i know how good this game is and im sure that this is a great port - i played the origanal alot even to one point i couldn't think of anything to do with my day so i spent 7hours on the game, in which time i completed it from start to finished

@DEIVION212 does it have trophies? They never patched Sigma 1 for trophies, I guess playing for trophies is incentive enough for me, as I also heard this one has been nerfed.

Well he new Ninpo scheme takes some getting used to, but overall I think I prefer this version now, just wish the battery was longer, nothing worse than doing a long missions and worrying "do I have the time for one more???" XD

When you're actually supposed to charge lithium batteries when they get down to around 10% and charge them to max. Otherwise you shorten your battery life because the battery has a sort of memory inside it. So if you're constantly only charging it up to 80% that other 20 solidifies and can't be used anymore.

@getdrinking actually the backtouch is amazing in games such as FIFA... shooting using the backtouch makes the game better on Vita than on 360 or PS3. It needs to implemented correctly

Please don't take this as sarcasm, because I understand text talk can often read sarcastic, but... I'd love to know how. Because the game's options menu and the game's manual don't say this is possible at all.

It's just a few missions. The only other real change is, I've noticed loading times are smaller. But unless you're an avid fan who wants it on the go, there's not much point in getting it. It's why I got it, because I've always wanted it on the go.

I like the back touch screen. I'm just a sucker for gimicks, don't hate me 0_0. LOL

I completely agree with your hatred of the rear touch pad. Its horrid, and if sony had never invented it noone would ever have moaned about it not being there. I also feel thats its existence makes holding the machine much more cramped than should be. Powerful piece of kit overall though.

Yep, I just got my vita yesterday and now I'm gonna go grab this game tomorrow. I loved the original Ninja Gaiden and I was wondering if the controls were gonna be extremely funky or unusable on the Vita, so this review helped me out a lot. I haven't played this game in years man.

Yup, it's why I hate how Vita's have built in batteries, I'd have been happier had they removed the rear touch & instead let us replace batteries like I do with my 3DS. Because I am terrified that ne day it'll up and die on me. Because even the most cared for battery can be arsey if it wants to be. It's why I laugh so hard when people say with the WiiU's gamepad "I just never unplug it", no matter what I say, they refuse to believe me that they're doing major irreparable damage to the battery.

Thanks for posting up this video. In your opinion, If one owns Ninja Gaiden Black and Ninja Gaiden Sigma it this game even worth getting? I was hoping that there was something exclusively added to the Vita version but I cant seem to find if that is so or not.(because what is the point of the "Plus" in the name if its just a port) Because if it isnt so then it just seems kinda stupid to get this port at the price Sony has it for. When you can just get Black or Sigma for 19USD (or less).

Oh gawd, I don't even want to think about the life those WiiU pads are gonna have left. But yeah you're absolutely right, that's a terrifying concept to grasp, investing all your money in ps vita and games and then one day your entire system dies on you along with all your saved data and addons and dlc... *groans* My heart...

I hope they put Sigma 2 on the Vita, i enjoyed it more than the first. TBH im not gonna get a Vita till they update it (in hardware) or make a System buying game like a Kingdom Hearts game, which WILL happen.

Oh man, speaking of batteries. I'm personally and older gen kinda guy. I love playing the classic and quality games i grew up with. I love my PSP to death and i have a wonderful collection of games for it that I still enjoy to this day. However I was extremely heart broken to find out PSP batteries aren't even made anymore, especially not the extended battery kits. Holy shit I want one of those bad boys. Unfortunately I charged my psp like a retard and just plugged it in whenever I was done.

Whereas my brother would strongly dissagree as he kept shooting when he didn't want too. The BTS is too easy to accidently touch.

You're allowed to like it bud, I just find it unresponsive in most games, BlazBlue where it becomes 8 virtual buttons is a bit of a mare.
