He's amazing, to help doing this in his community and many others like his; it is really important to give them material so they can work. Especially in poor places, it will be really important to show them how to build renewable energy.

"In Sierra Leone, if you meet somebody head to head you have to say hi.  You acknowledge them and smile.  When he gets on the train, he says 'hi' to people.  Nobody recognizes it."  A 15 year old self taught inventor from a little country called Sierra Leone gets a chance to visit M.I.T. for 3 weeks.  The character of this kid speaks volumes.  I just wish America and societies around the world looked to promote behavior, intelligence, and independent thinking that this kid demonstrates.   #intelligence   #inspirational

Children who must come up with solutions for problems while confronting oppressive degrees of scarcity, being outside of an established paradigm of gluttony, will change the future remarkably for all of us.

This kid is amazing, a technological innovative genius. He represents learn by making, building from the ground up, and reconstructs his community by making it. Kelvin focuses on the power of community interaction to expand worlds within each other and realizes that sometimes kids become trapped in their own little worlds too much so he built a radio station to share and debate with his community. He wants to design his own future and challenge the youth of his community to problem solve and give them opportunities and inspiration to solve them to create a better world. How can we promote innovation around young people of the world, in your community?~~KH #innovation   #build   #learnbymaking   #community   #expand   #worlds   #focus   #childworld   #adultworld   #kids   #adults #opportunity #voice  +Ana Huante 15-Yr-Old Kelvin Doe Wows M.I.T.
