pretty outr of shape and a bit over weight, dropped 20 lbs in 2 months! but doing those lunge drops inthe beggining killed my legs for 3 days the first time! this is only my second time doin em, still hurts T.T

When we are talking about running we arent talking about distance running just sprinting. You should never do long slow state cardio if you are trying to get more explosive you will just kill your explosiveness.

I think you add each work out each week so 1st week you would do everything in the first vid then 2nd week you will do week one and add what is for week 2

Speed and vert go hand in hand. When you make one better the other will increase too. So if you just work on one the other will get better also.

Yes, absolutely. These exercises are designed to recruit fast twitch muscle fibers, making you a more explosive athlete, so these can be used for any sport that you want to be explosive in(pretty much everything besides chess ;)

Im a freshmen and i do track is this ok? I'm thinking about do the speed workout then the vertical jump workout every other day after practice, because i hurdle and triple/long jump. Also will the SL and SF workouts help with 3 stepping, because i can 3 step but there not as fast i want them to be and i kinda have to force it.

If i'm doing the Vertical jump workout right after the Running faster workout, should I do the same drills twice ?? Beacuse they are a few drills in the VJ workout that are in the Running Faster workout.

@Darkybmy React fast so your feet are not making contact with the ground for too long...The whole point is to help your amortization phase (ground contact speed).

It can help you get faster not sure if it will translate over to you dribbling in hand ball.

So is this better than actually hitting the track and running? In theory this work, but it will cause your muscle to develop unevenly causing you to be off balance, which in turn make you slower not faster.

The jump tuck part is your rate of force development movement. You'll get make .0001 tenths off.

NOT THE SAME RESULTS... think of it more like this "If I was supposed to run 100 yards and I only run 70 will I get the same results?" there are no shortcuts :D I know this all too much

You need both to get faster weight training and practice running. You wont unevenly gain muscle on one leg you are training each leg equally.

OK but how bout weight training? Like squats and dead lifts, low reps high weight. Should I do resistance weight works out the same day as the vert/speed exercises you have listed here? or should I do weight training on different days? BTW I love your exercises! I have had a hard time dunking since high school and after 3 months of doing your exercises I've been throwing it down consistently. I will post videos soon. Thank you for all your help and the quick replies!

yes, take all 4 parts and do them as one workout, twice per week, 4 weeks in a row. You will see amazing results!

Can the exercises be used in a "circuit" type training where I have multiple athletes start at different places and rotate through each exercise the prescribed amount of reps/sets? Or should they be done in the exact order you demonstrate 1-4?
