@Kerns0Phoegon You're so correct! TD sells great refurbished Windows 7 notebooks/laptops for far less than $500 and you can add the chrome browser yourself without being utterly limited to just one function. CHROMEBOOK......WHAT A TOTAL SCAM!

@Gobonks2011 My comment was more of something to make fun of the video because it was obviously so biased. My examples were references to what I currently do on a regular computer and what everyone else does on a regular computer. I can't play the games I really want to on a Chromebook, and I can't convert my whole Skype contact list to use Google for chatting. Apparently all of them are out of the times and I should do that...

I think this one is cool, but .. I'm not really excited about a Browser only device. I can see the value, but ... I want more from a system then just a browser.

@TortillaGaming yes, though consider the specs of the machine. It was designed to run Chrome, and I'm sure wouldn't do so well if you happen to have a full OS on it.

I can see you die, writhing in pain and asking me why! And I say dieeeee! 20 points to those that get the reference! (and no, it's not trolling, it's a prediction for this product)

@ctoon6 Nope, not too bad. Google has "offline apps", so even if you can't connect to the internet you can still access your previously saved Google Docs, emails, etc. and create new ones that will be uploaded to the cloud when you are next connected to the web.

Could I not just buy a laptop with memory and a simple O.S without programs apart from anti virus scanners that will be far cheaper than chromebook and then add on chrome. Aslong i do not fill the memory up with junk like movies and pictures n programs. It will boot just as fast. Brain, beats anything if you think about it.

Love My Chromebook! And... Son wants one for Christmas. However! Google really needs to get more advertising out for the Chromebook. Coz! If I said to one of my friends or neighbours... " Have you got a Chromebook? " They'd Say... " What's That? " But! Know that once Chromebooks do take Off... Boom! Chromebooks will be talked about just as much as Facebook. Why? Coz.... They'll all be using their Chrombooks to go on Facebook. And... They'll be a Chromebook in every kids Christmas Stocking.
