by CraigslistTV • 46,778 views

http://facebook.com/CraigslistTV "Superman" and the other costumed characters were recently kicked off of Hollywood Boulevard by the Los Angeles police. After their "Town Hall of In-justice" became...

The DV guy doesn't get it.  If he tells people there's a charge for a photo, then he's breaking the law.

@OMFGYUOTUBE Awesome news! U.S. District Judge Dean Pregerson just ruled that the Superheroes can return to the Boulevard!

@kenny1309 Agreed. It doesn't feel like Hollywood Blvd without them. Good news though, they are now allowed back on!

@craigslist What is Superman's favorite song???? "And Justice for all" by Metallica!! LOL

It must be a copywrite law thats getting used...All those characters are under copywrite law, They cant legaly be used to make money.

Why aren't the cops busy arresting all the hookers and crackheads one block over on Sunset?

@AddiktGaming no, i work at Mcdonalds. not the best job nor one i plan to keep for a career, but i dont beg for money. And that the line they cross. its one thing to entertain, and yes it can be a very lucrative career for some. but to not man up at 30+ to a steady job, to go out in a costume EVERY day and EXPECT ppl to give you money is just sad!

I agree with all of the "superheroes" with the exception of "Darth Vadar" cmon, making a kid pay a buck to take a picture with you broke ass. Please!

It's an interesting story. It comes across like an appendix to "Confessions of a Superhero." I don't know what this had to do with "CraigList." Is there any official connection or sponsorship between CraigsList and CraigslistTV?

hey they brought the epical homeless guy with the THE END IS NEAR message, my favorite superhero!

@HollowJGB Hollywood Blvd. They are back out now! Might be easier on the weekends and when it isn't running, fyi. :-P

I would always pay for a photo with them -no doubt- but they CAN'T demand money from you. You'd be a pretty big asshole if you had them pose for you and didn't pay, but anyone has a right to take a photo of anyone on the public sidewalk gratis. The city doesn't want the characters demanding money from tourists, just like a restaurant owner wouldn't want waitstaff demanding tips from customers. It's understandable. If you don't like that arrangement as a waiter: quit. You go characters!

@Junierockss Yeah this is very real. LAPD will not allow them back on the Blvd.

@6CHRIS6ROWE6 Oh, look. Better grammar and spelling. You're improving, that's good to see.

@kenny1309 Thanks man, I love the approval of tool!

I go to HollyWood Blvd for the characters, I think MOST people do too.

I love the irony behind Superman and Darth Vader not liking each other.

@theitsystem Thanks for the support! I guess I'll be taking a few extra moments to think about the words I use before I post. :)

I Chris as Superman in Confessions of a Superhero, which is a fantastic movie, but I thought they said his now wife was a doctoral student. Why are they living in the same place with no income. Moreover, it's strange to have bail money and funding for making signs and informational brochures, but not money for electric or lightbulbs. I write books, and I could dedicate my entire time to that, but I also have to work a regular job to make sure the rent and the electric are paid.

how is it that they cant seem to form some sort of union and pick and choose who can be out there..after all this time u have to ask yourself, are you going to make something out of this or just end up being another "superman statistic" lol
Report spam or abuse
lol "i chris as superman" haha what...u fukd up lol i watched it again and she mentioned psychology, but are u angry at christopher for dressing up as superman? have u heard how hard it is to find a full time job in LA, most people are actors who devote their entire time to the craft lol (they dont sit around pretending to be writers) shot at u lol, becuz it was easy.....no offense but its hard explaining to people who arent nor ever will be in showbiz

I'm confused because I was out there talking to Charlie Chaplin about 4 weeks ago. When did they get banned? I would never have the nerve to actually do it but I was telling my friend that I thought it would be fun to put on a blond wig and a sleeveless tuxedo shirt bow tie and silky black pants and go pose as Chris Farley. My immediate thought was there must be a permit or license or health card requirement. I didn't flesh it out, but instinctively my first thought was that order is needed.

@spicypeteWoW I have a recommendation of a video for you. Look up Jeff Bezos Princeton commencement speech. @projectdenton even though the true irony is them working together, we know what you mean, your voice is valuable and heard. It is life imitating art and the fact that the melodrama of the silver screen has juxtaposed itself into real life. You know, because Superman and Darth Vader would soooo have to throw-down if they were in a movie together.

seriously, under what city ordinance are these guys "banned"?

this is ridicules...what there doing is still pan handling! "oh, we cant pay our bills" go get a real job like the rest of us! if degrading yourself is your only means to get by, then yes, you should kill yourself. its one thing to go out and have fun, dress like a hero, take some pic, play with the kiddies, but if thats your main source of income you majorly FAIL! come on...i cant believe any one takes this as an actual issue...

@RockingJamboree Superman used Craigslist to call the Town Hall Of INjustice meeting in episode 1, so that's the connection. And indeed, CLtv is sponsored by Craigslist. Glad you enjoyed the episode!

Their teeth are so damn yellow. Put them back on so they can get money to buy a tooth brush.

I've been in LA a few times but still haven't seen Superman on the Blvd. :/ Guess I keep showing up when he's on his lunch hour. xD But I have seen Charlie Chaplin, i think, every time. Now knowing their back story from all the different media outlets I'll give a sizable tip the next time I'm down there. And Supe, be out there! :)

@AddiktGaming btw, try going into a bank and opening a line of credit, "so what do you do for a liveing sir?" "oh, i dress up as superman and walk the streets" they'd throw you out. sure i could see if they worked for a company that pays them to go out and bring ppl in but this isnt the case. Its them not wanting to grow up and wondering around (essentially) whoreing them selves! and i wont even get started on the dangers of drunk super man >:/

@towcar yeh but some of them are actors man, hulk for instance is trying to make it ..im sure in ur world "man up" is to get a boring job and live the rest of your miserable life meaning nothing to the world lol, but for actors its all about the biz and nothing else you would understand if u were in the industry : )

@towcar I wonder what it is you do for a living. These people do have jobs, you can call it what it is, but it's entertaining. They're entertainers and should be paid as such. I'm sure you'll make up some sort of high paying job that you work at but I'm certain you do nothing to contribute to society. why can't you understand that they are entertainers? who are you to say what is a "real" job and what is not? what's the difference between them and other professions that are just as "useless"?
Report spam or abuse
I can tell from your stellar grammar and capitalization that you're, in fact, a writer in Los Angeles. I'm certain it's difficult to find full time work in Los Angeles; this is why you move from Los Angeles and find a real job. And, yes, of course you, "shot at," me because it was easy -- I don't see you doing much of anything that's difficult (or worthwhile). I'm not angry. I disagree with impracticality, and a doctoral student has a far easier time making a greater income.

@spicypeteWoW Thank you for "so kindly" pointing out my blunder. You are absolutely right...it isn't "irony" at all. I used the word without thinking it through. It would be appreciated to find a less abrasive way to communicate your frustrations. Thanks.
