What another great vintage FDNY video from 1991. At 16:22, we see Chris Blackwell and Ray Meisenheimer. Requiescat in Pace brothers, 9/11, never forget, always remember. There is also another great Rescue 3 video from 1985 as well.

When you call NYPD, they take forever or sometimes never. We always depend on the FDNY to get there. They never failed us. I have high respect for these guys.

1991 Documentary riding with FDNY Rescue-3 "Big Blue" in Upper Manhattan/Da' Bronx (when quartered w/ E-93/TL-45/B-13). Many familiar R-3 faces in this one. Man I miss these real pre-2001 days, this is when it was peaceful with da usual basic haz-mat, but strictly, mostly good ole' fire responses, not like how it is today, today seem so complicated if you look back on 1991 to 2000.

I remember this series. I also remember attending Al Ronaldson's funeral back in '91. Looking at some of the faces on the 9/11 poster at the firehouse, I recognise some in this video who were lost on that day. RIP brothers. Thank you for this video.

@jamesmkalbaugh Chris was my cousin and i will always miss him. I myself am a cop in Baltimore and am just hitting my 20th year a milestone i believe Chris had just hit prior to 9/11. Our whole family has been involved in public service. It is a noble thing we all do to serve our communities. RIP all who gave the ultimate sacrifice, and be safe all my brothers and sisters.

It truly hurts my heart to watch these old FDNY videos, Knowing that so many of the firefighters in these videos made that ultimate sacrifice without the slightest hesitation on 9/11. God bless them and may they R.I.P

My Uncle was a firefighter in the Bronx and he told me "what a shit hole".You have the slum lords and abandoned buildings where drug addicts shoot up.They start fires to get the cash from insurance or the druggies starting fires while getting their fix.As far as the food, this is bullshit, the city should pay for their food. It's the least they can do,since they pay these fire fighters shit money.GOD BLESS THE FDNY.
