NDP leadership candidates Nathan Cullen, Niki Ashton, Peggy Nash, Brian Topp, and Martin Singh, face off at Concordia University on January 25th 2012 in an event organized by NDP Concordia and 5...

@MoDeeSeventyThree Nathan Cullen, he's the only one I trust, i'm not a fan of Mulcair or Topp. Cullen is the only one who supports the cooperation idea and is the only one with a realistic approach to defeating Harper.

@MoDeeSeventyThree yup I got my membership to vote for him...Cullen is gaining steam...globe and mail put an article out the other day saying that he's the one to watch in the NDP race ,and i've read other articles saying he's the only one doing anything in the race...I think he could steal the race if the press gives him the coverage he deserves (all the debates I 've watch he seems to be the favourite among the crowd).

No...that just represents the intelligence and general math skills of Muclair. I honestly wish that man didn't win the leadership. Compared to Layton, he is a black sheep. My money was on either Nash or Singh. I'm really ticked neither won.

Hey, where are the other NDP debates? I've been trying to track them down.

They all did well, and came across as strong, idealistic, compassionate, and principled, but also with the intelligence and wisdom to navigate those qualities through the real world. While no one is perfect, I would trust these candidates to act effectively to build a more prosperous, just, and happier Canada. I would have been interested to see Mulcair in this debate, but at the moment I'm leaning towards Brian Topp.

I loved seeing Peggy Nash showing leadership and sharing great ideas in Montreal!

Muclair remortgaged his house 12 times. That pretty much represents the intelligence and general math skills of the NDP and their supporters

How come only 2800 people have viewed this?

Silly Canadians, you are already godless socialists.

@MoDeeSeventyThree He's not quite my first choice, but in my view Cullen's sincerity and optimism would be an asset in Quebec. Jack's personality inspired the people of Quebec to take notice of NDP values, which complement their own.

Isn't Niki's main selling point that she's smart, young and has fresh ideas? For starters, whatever adviser let her wear that dress and didn't tell her to get contacts so she looks like she's 60 needs to be fired yesterday. I'm not expecting her to march in there like she's a female Obama and smooth talk everyone, but isn't there a happy medium? She doesn't have to wear a cheerleading outfit and say like all the time, but come on. Funeral much?

I just wonder how many of you understand what a socialist government would do to our country? First they would close down our oil sands. Second they would impose heavy import tarrifs so that our goods would be competative with imports. Forget that $1,000. TV, it would now be $5,000. The goods that we produce would be more than twice the price of anything else produced in the world so the only place we could sell it would be here. Our dollar would drop to less than .50 US, sounds wonderful eh?
