I have a three layered system: old fashioned web gear for the always must have, a "day" pack for helpful but secondary items with some duplicating web items.  Last is a cargo pack with some comfort items.  Total weight ~55lbs  I do carry a selection of gmo free seeds.

I love your videos, best I've found on youtube so far! I noticed you never mentioned fishing? I put together an emergency fishing kit good for any scenario that practically weighs nothing.

Then you should have first hand insight from both sides of the ordeal. Very valuable knowledge. Thanks for watching!

Never knew there was a thing called INCH bag...but it makes sense. Some people never returned to new orleans after Katrina.

Thanks for the props BC! That series took a long time to prepare edit and build all the graphics. Now I'm finishing up the white paper and getting it to a PDF for the website. Oh, and ya, most people still think the government is somehow their friend. What a rude awakening it will be when they learn the truth.

Thanks for the positive comments. Hope you have been able to put together some bags that you feel secure with. Thanks for watching!

Thanks! Now it's time to get into the detail of some of the items that would go into the bug out system, and start learning the skills to survive without some of those items. Thanks for watching!

Yes, common sense along with some good training which we will be getting into at some point. Thanks for watching!

Yeah, and it doesn't matter what part of the world you are from. Everyone is subject to SHTF scenarios. Thanks for watching!

I don't have a video but I could give you a list and pictures if you are interested :) I'm anxious to see what you have to say about the topic

Great information and ya, your eyes adjust over time. I prefer walking the woods without lights if possible. You don't give yourself away and you can see further if not blinded by artificial light. Thanks for watching!

Light Sources made easy. A bowl of "oil" (any flammable but not Volatile liquid, even alcohol will work) with a string or cloth wick sticking out of it or floating on the top in some manner (suspended above the oil and seperated so as to not make contact with the surface). Given time and decent conditions your eyes can adjust over a few weeks to have better night vision. I worked an outdoor juvenile facility years ago and used to walk the trails through the woods with no flashlight.

saw UR five part video today 7/15/12; (BZ) that was a lot of work, sort of documentary. You did a great job. Like some of the other/various YouTube videos suggest, the POLICE, of whatever type, and the National Guard, in a SHTF emergency is what you got to watch out for! yep, Fear the Police! I have come to the conclusion that if the SHTF and things get so bad that I have to "bug out" that I am pretty well fucked, odd's are against me, even if I am well prepared. I will be living A nightmare.

Awesome series. Well put together and thought out. Trying to put together INCH bags for my husband and myself (including 2 small boys) and the discussion brought up a lot of relevant points and thought provoking subjects. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

And I'll bet those people didn't realize they would never return. Always something new to learn. Thanks for watching!

Ya, you know that for sure now if you are paying attention to what our president and the UN are working on right now. Gun confiscation. Start looking for a place to hide and an army of civilians to hide there with.

Thanks for watching my vids. Fishing is a blast and there are so many ways to do it. Especially in an emergency situation that I figure it is a large topic and should be covered separately. I'm going to have to check out your video. Thanks.

perfectly done as always subtac. Thanks for reminding us to use common sense above all else, the one thing we can't afford to leave home without.

For that AR 15, buy a 80 percent lower, learn to mill it, sell the registered (having it re-registered) that way you can at least eliminate that from a list of searchables from registered arms, otherwise if not located you will be detained. A nice crossbow is better to hunt or murder with (zombie weapon of choice) be it has lower sound and causes less attention. FLIR a lot of money, but makes a world of difference of being hunted and a hunter at night.

I've personally researched all of the internet and retail and have come to the conclusion that Sanyo Eneloop batteries are the best choice for the SHTF. They come in AA and AAA, but there are adapters to convert the AA to C or D. They get 1500 charges before they even start to lag in quality. They can hold 75% of their charge for 3 years. If you have a solar or crank charger you are set. I need just enough to get me settled in and acclimated to a more difficult lifestyle.
