There's eating for nutrition and eating for entertainment. Maintaining health and body weight are just a matter of eating responsibly . These days there is no excuse for being a porker . With the internet good information is there to be had by all.

Should've stayed fat, you looked better, lol. I've seen better transformations. Me for instance. I went from 15 and weighing in at 195 lbs with a BMI of like 52% to being 16 and half and weighing 209lbs with only 14% BMI. I lost all that weight and went down to 145lbs, bulked up to 220lbs and then leaned out.

I'm currently 240 pounds.. I diet, (heavy) lift daily, run as much as my skinny friends, but I barely make any progress. I barely eat, I workout pretty much every minute I have free time, but I am making very slow progress. Any tips?

I agree with Pharis_52. Try to eat more fruits and veggies too (For example the Juice fast that has been getting popular) With the juice fast I would suggest the Mean green juice http://www.rebootwithjoe.com/mean-green-juice/ -Recipe. Just eat healthy, normal meals after a 10-30 day reboot with just juice. Remember to add a little bit of protein powder after the 5 day mark so you can start exercising normally If you would like to know a bit more about the stuff watch fat, sick, and nearly dead (It's on netflix) and maybe some videos other people have posted with their fasts

man, congrats on your weight loss, but i think it's silly to call this 'massive to muscular'. while you were clinically obese, you were by no means massive. i appreciate the attempt to motivate, but you essentially turned fat into muscle under optimal conditions - a relatively low start weight, at a very young age. i hope that you appreciate that however hard you worked, other peoples' weight loss journeys dwarf your own. regardless, i'm happy you were able to get motivated so early in your life to improve yourself!

Good for you! No playing the victom, no blaming your genes/metabalism. You took the responsibility on yourself to get fit and got on with it. Many people could take a lesson from this.

I finished college and starting living on my own. Ate nothing but ramen and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and drank nothing but water for... i'm gonna say 3 months. Lost 25 pounds. Being broke is my diet...

I'm about 250 or 260 5'10 but I don't look as big as he did when he started. But any way my plan is to be 180 or 190 in 6 months. I've dropped from 230 to 190 but then I got pulled out of school pulled out of sports so now a year almost 2 years later it is time for me to start exercising.

OHMYJESUS Lol I'm 13 yrs old 5ft 9in and weigh like 202 pounds this.... this makes me sad.... although i lost about 2 or 3 pounds without kinda realizing it though....

when I was 13 I was 6'1" 250 lbs, I ran every day and ate less, and I lost 50 lbs in about 4 months.  It was worth it, but I lost weight the wrong way.  Instead of changing my diet, I ate the same stuff but less of it.  What I should have done instead was increased my protein while cutting out simple carbohydrates like cookies, white bread, etc. My blood pressure also got so low from losing it quickly that I had to see a cardiologist, so in hindsight I would have lost weight at a slower pace.

amazing thing you have done. is it still happening for you? still working out? you were lucky that you are young and your skin is flexible and able to tighten, if you were older you would need surgery. stay strong. the muscle you put on now is going to stay with you.

I hate to be the downer here but you aren't really teaching anyone anything new here. Everyone already knows that all you need is motivation the hard part is actually having any. Seriously I lay in bed telling myself how I am going to wake up tomorrow and go for a walk or do ANYTHING healthy but it simply never works out that way.

great achievement dude! and i think the biggest statement you made was at the end. so many people think they'll never do it cause they haven't been able to be motivated in the past. THATS NOT TRUE! you just haven't found that that ONE big motive to do it! cause trust me when you do! you simply become obsessed! I'm speaking speaking from experience, for me i wasnt over weight but was underweight. I was a twig. For years i tried to gym to put on some weight. but would always last like a month. Then i found one motivation! And have not stopped for 3 years. I was 6 foot 60Kg's and now I'm 85Kg and lean! JUST FIND THAT ONE THING!! and trust me it will change everything!

I dont know what motivates me before, but I always wake up at 3:30 am to go jogging and quiting eating rice and drinking sodas. I did lose weight it feels good after all those pains:)

How tall are you? I'm 6'2 and when I was 212 pounds I didn't look nowhere nearly as big as you. I wasn't active at the time either, I Just played video games and ate junk food all the time. Now I weigh 175 and I lift weights at the gym almost everyday, but I still have some belly fat to work on. Congratulations on the weight loss too!

This is pretty awesome :) Ive always struggled with my weight, and I currently weigh the same amount as you did - 215 pounds. I suck at dieting, but Im really hoping to be able to stick with it and lose weight. It can seem so hopeless at times, so its really awesome to see that it is possible!
