This is either a bracket race (handicapped start) or something went seriously wrong with the ZX-11 at launch. I've ran my bone-stock ZX-11 at the strip many times, and it is good for mid-10's in the quarter.
Congratulations. That is a heckuva trade! You won't regret it. I've had my ZX-11 for almost 17 years now. I love that bike.
