ZodTTD of http://www.zodttd.com here. I was going through my old gadgets and I found my box of 15 or so prototypes of the iJoyPad. The iJoyPad was an old competitor to the iControlPad ( http://www.icontrolpad ). iControlPad won out and we will be hearing more from them soon. But in the meantime I decided to hook up the iJoyPad to my iPhone 3gs and play some psx4iphone. The two games shown are Wipeout XL and Ridge Racer. I apologize for the lack of sound...these iJoyPads makes a loud click noise when buttons are pressed too.

More gadget videos to come!

Hope you find this video at very least interesting. If you do, I suggest you subscribe to my videos.

Thanks again,

mame4iphone v1.0.0 running on iPhone 3gs zodttd - 868 views - 3 days ago
ZodTTD of http://www.zodttd.com here to show you my port of MAME to the iPhone and iPod Touch. mame4iphone v1.0.0 is running on the iPhone 3gs. It has recently been upgraded and is available now on Cydia! Thanks to Franxis for mame4all of which a lot of my code is based upon.

Simpsons landed up being a poor choice to show off audio, as it has some very bad sound effects in it! Also MS Pacman, while one of my favorite games, doesn't show off things like Metal Slug would.

Keep in mind landscape mode works just fine too. It was just easier to line up the camcorder for portrait mode.

Thanks again,

Palm Pre running psx4all (psx4pre) - Wipeout XL zodttd - 53,724 views - 2 weeks ago
Hello from ZodTTD of http://www.zodttd.com !

I have recently purchased and jailbroken/rooted a Palm Pre. In doing so I have ported over my Sony Playstation 1 emulator project, psx4all to the Pre!

The Palm Pre, using some of the same hardware as the iPhone 3GS and Pandora gaming handheld, is fast!

In this short video you can see Wipeout XL running on the Palm Pre.

Note that there is no sound output (though it's emulated), as Pulse Audio is required for the Palm Pre, and I have yet to support it. It will come soon. Also keep in mind I have not figured out hardware rotation or scaling, or whether it is possible. Until then I am using the raw framebuffer device and blitting 320x240 software scaled.

I figured out how to read the keypad device on the Palm Pre, though there are times it fails to give a keyup event, making keys "stick". This is annoying and I'm looking for a workaround.

As things progress I will have fullscreen landscape working as well.

Thanks,
ZodTTD

psx4iphone on the iPhone 3GS zodttd - 132,629 views - 3 weeks ago
Hello from ZodTTD of ZodTTD.com !

Here is a quickly made video of psx4iphone running on the iPhone 3GS (not jailbroken). The game being played is Final Fantasy 7. I apologize for the low production quality and having too much zoom. Better videos will come, requests for any particular games?

Note that the psx4iphone build in this video has no frameskip and is still running great!

If you are interested in previewing psx4iphone on your non-jailbroken iPhone 3GS, here's your chance:

iPhone 3GS: gpSPhone running at over 150 FPS! zodttd - 73,780 views - 1 month ago
Hello from ZodTTD of ZodTTD.com

I maintain the port of gpSP, the PSP/GP2X Gameboy Advance emulator by Exophase, for the iPhone.

My port is called gpSPhone, and I just got it up and running on the iPhone 3GS. I am code signing it myself, as there is no jailbreak available.

The iPhone 3GS is extremely powerful, as it is based on the ARM Cortex A8 processor clocked at 600MHz, and has a PowerVR SGX.

This same hardware is in the OpenPandora.org Pandora gaming handheld which I obtained fullspeed Sony Playstation 1 emulation in psx4pandora.

You can see in this video that Pokemon Emerald is running at around 150 to 225 FPS (frames per second), with sound and 0 frameskip!

Call it a comeback! Time for me to bring psx4iphone back! ;)

Thanks,
ZodTTD

psx4pandora - Sony Playstation 1 on the Pandora (MK2) handheld. Work In Progress. zodttd - 17,970 views - 7 months ago
Hello from ZodTTD of www.zodttd.com

I have been working on getting compatibility higher on psx4pandora. As you most likely already know, Pandora is an awesome handheld coming soon, official site being www.openpandora.org.

During the process of updating psx4pandora I received my Pandora MK2. The MK2 is pretty much the guts of the Pandora (no case for instance).

So I quickly put my work aside and took this video of the first game put on my Transcend 16GB Class 6 SDHC card, so yet another Final Fantasy 7 showing. Having two SD(HC) card slots is great!

Everything on the MK2 has been solid so far, and Notaz and DJWillis have been doing amazing work!

Next steps for psx4pandora is to fix a long standing bug causing crashing in games such as Tomba and Metal Gear Solid. I will eventually do some videos of new games not seen running on psx4pandora (or psx4all for that matter).

Work is definitely ramping up on psx4pandora! More to come...

Thanks!

iJoypad controller for iPhone and iPod Touch. Long gone competitor to iControlPad. zodttd - 11,194 views - 8 months ago
Hello from ZodTTD of zodttd.com,
I've been asked a bunch of times to put this video up so friends can see it in action. It is me using iJoyPad with my snes4iphone software running Zombies Ate My Neighbors. The company and product came and went before the more advanced iControlPad came into play. I've been holding on to about 10 of these for months on end.

This is a hardware gamepad controller that hooks up to the iPhone and iPod Touch via the USB connector. It's very bulky in comparison to the iControlPad and the button clicks are very loud (good thing this video is on mute).

It was about to go retail but distribution issues came into play. iControlPad has a better overall design and is cheaper than what the iJoyPad was to retail for.

But you can see a lot of work was put into this gadget, and I wish the best for the lead of the iJoyPad project.

ZodTTD brings Quake to Apple's AppStore zodttd - 71,477 views - 8 months ago
Hello from ZodTTD of zodttd.com,

I recently submitted a port of Quake to Apple's AppStore. It is compatible with the iPhone and iPod Touch of all versions/firmwares 2.0+. Here is a video of it in action!

At first accelerometer support was included, but it is very hard to play the game while maintaining the positions needed for Quake. So it has been disabled in this revision.

Once/if approved for AppStore, it will be updated to include network play, mods / downloadable content, and more!

As you can see and hear, this version has sound support and uses a landscape orientation.

Please support my efforts on bringing this awesome title to AppStore, and visit me at zodttd.com!

NOTE: Sorry for any choppiness in the video. The game plays smoothly. It's just the encoding of the video. I will try some other video encoder formats and see if I can fix it.

Thanks,
ZodTTD

Mortal Kombat running on the Pandora gaming handheld via MAME! zodttd - 11,400 views - 9 months ago
Hello from ZodTTD of zodttd.com!
Here's Mortal Kombat running on Pandora via mame4all!
I had such fun with Franxis' mame4all project for the GP2X, that I decided to give it a port to the Pandora. Pandora is a upcoming high end gaming handheld (homepage: openpandora.org). I did this port in approximately two hours. It uses the Cyclone and DrZ80 assembly cores. It has fully working sound via OSS. Everything I have thrown at it runs fullspeed and requires throttling, and this is all at 500MHz instead of the 600MHz+ the Pandora can handle with ease! Also worth mentioning I am using a very early devkit, so I had to scale the screen as well as rotate it within software, so performance will be even better on newer devkits and the final product!

Mortal Kombat was unplayable due to performance on the GP2X. With the power of the Pandora gaming handheld, you can now play it just as it was meant to be played!

Hope you enjoy this video of Mortal Kombat emulated via mame4all ported to the Pandora! Thanks,

Fast port of MAME to the Pandora handheld! zodttd - 14,447 views - 9 months ago
Hello from ZodTTD of zodttd.com!
Here's Outrun running on Pandora via mame4all!
Note that screeching wheels sound is normal Outrun goodness, though a tad annoying! I am using headphones for outputting the sound as well.

The little time it took to port this over from the GP2X to the Pandora and the resulting performance increase is amazing.

Hope you enjoy this video of Outrun emulated via mame4all ported to the Pandora! Thanks,
