Zarakhast - great to hear from you! It's been a while.. sorry I've not been in touch; life caught up on me.

I must agree though. Your thoughts regarding Bundy and his whole scenario have been so accurate and extremely close to mine. He never got a chance to just talk. It was always about what other people wanted, what the detectives needed, what the media had to cover. They gobbled him up, if I do say so myself. The only time he ever talked was during his confessions, the rest being people trying to squeeze the truth out of him.

Yes. Many quotes regarding how he saw himself, yet time and time again I get people going on and on about how arrogant, how self-centered, how aloof and egotistical he was... and for some reason they don't seem to understand that this was the only way he saw possible. Which imo is extremely sad if it takes a mask to make people notice you. I
guess what they don't get is criminals are made, not born.

So I see you are a big Heidegger fan. I wonder if you had a chance to hear Jaspers perspective on him, someone who was also Being-There during the rise of Hitler but did not succumb to either's "fundamental ontology". It was heidegger himself who recommended the denazification committee for Jasper's "expert opinion" on himself-which did not go very well.

Hi J. Sorry I have been so late in replying - I rarely have chance to check my mail these days. Is everything ok with you? Will send a proper reply soon - take care. Beth xx

Hey Z,

Sorry I haven't replied - it really is a pain not having access to the internet at home. I will make an appointment at the library, I came in today but they could only give me 15 mins which is not nearly long enough to respond! I do love the library, they are great places, free internet, rows n' rows of books & peace & quiet! Hope you are ok :-)

As nice as Dostoyevsky's words do sound, it's never gonna happen is it.
Everybody is different and the whole world is not gonna be full of equally nice people. We're all animals, and it's only human to want revenge.

I don't think i would be happy knowing that the killer of my loved ones was locked up in a cell somewhere sipping on warm soup and sharing murder stories with their prison buddies.
I would however be happy if they were no longer breathing.

If the killer was free would he want or seek help? Or would he be happy to carry on living his sick life. The only time they want help is when they get locked up.

Would you fight for the life of a man that killed your children.
