Interests and Hobbies: I am a Beatles fan. I like anything Beatles even after they went solo. Right now, I am promoting the upcoming Capital of Culture to take place in Liverpool, England in 2008. Ringo Starr was there on Saturday, Jan. 12th to open the Liverpool The Musical at the Liverpool Arena. Sir Paul McCartney will be there on Sunday, June 1st to be among many entertainers to perform at The Liverpool Sound concert at Anfield Football Stadium. More information about the year long event is at http://www.liverpool08.com. I am also promoting the Beatles' former manager, Brian Epstein, to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Brian worked very hard to get recording contracts for the Beatles after he discovered them in November 1961. Every record studio turned down The Beatles. Even The Beatles' former manager Allan Williams refused to have anything to do with them and advised Brian not to touch them with a barge pole. Brian did not give up and finally was able to connect with Decca records producer Tony Meehan and EMI's George Martin for an audition. He worked extremely hard in promoting the Beatles to introduce them to the world. Sadly, Brian Epstein passed away on August 27, 1967 at the young age of 32. After his passing, the Beatles never had another manager. According to John Lennon, Brian was the expert and they all trusted him. Later Sir Paul McCartney would say later at a 1997 BBC interview - If anyone was the Fifth Beatle, it was Brian. Brian Epstein was the one responsible for guiding The Beatles to their success. Please have Brian Epstein inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Sir George Martin, The Beatles, the solo efforts of John Lennon, Sir Paul McCartney, George Harrison have already been inducted. The solo efforts of Ringo Starr may be inducted in 2009. The campaign to get Brian Epstein inducted is by THE FEST for Beatles Fans (formerly Beatlefest), the organizers of the official Beatles fan conventions. Martin Lewis, former assistant to Alistair Taylor (and was a close friend to Brian), created the Brian Epstein website. They would like to get 100,000 signatures to petition Brian to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Sir George Martin, Alistair Taylor, Henry Brian Epstein, and Martin Lewis have signed the petition. I also included the website URL for you to sign the petition. At the Brian Epstein website, you may read Tributes by Sir George Martin, Derek Taylor, Ray Coleman, and Ringo Starr. According to Ray Coleman, without Brian Epstein we wouldn't have seen the Beatles. That's my strong view. In the United States, THE FEST for Beatles Fans' next convention will be in New York Metro from March 28 - 30, 2008; Las Vegas, Nevada from June 29 - July 1, 2008; and Chicago, Illinois from August 8 - 10, 2008. This is the largest Beatles convention selling Beatles items. You may also click on the THE FEST for Beatles Fan website button at the Brian Epstein's website to sign up to receive e-mails of upcoming events or order Beatles products. Mark your calendar to make arrangements in advance to experience an exciting event of a lifetime. And PLEASE sign Brian's petition to have him inducted and also sign up at THE FEST for Beatles Fans to receive future information on upcoming events. Thanks a million!!!

I agree ~ definitely free Mark David Chapman ~ because he wouldn't last 1 week outside the relative safety of the prison walls! More than a few people have posted in rec.music.beatles that they'd be sure to rub him out, even if it meant their own arrest and conviction. Lennon meant that much to many people.

Love the Beatles...hate Heather Mills. If Heather Mills died suddenly.....I would throw a huge Youtube bash...and pay for everybody's plane ticket so we could all get together and celebrate in a huge social hall and record it for all time.
