Since 1998, YATV has been producing weekly programmes for broadcast on issues relating to the conflict and its resolution in Sri Lanka. The programme features reports and stories about initiatives to promote peace and people' experiences and challenges of living in a diverse, multi ethnic country. Over the years, they have been the only TV programmes to regularly bring to Sri Lankan audiences images, views and perspectives from various parts of the country - especially the conflict zones of the North and the East - as the country has gone through periods of war and peace.

The programmes aim to inform, educate and engage Sri Lankans in the search for a long term solution to the conflict that is acceptable to all communities.
