This may be Al Gore at his finest but it is politics at it's worst and perhaps the most disgraceful example of demagoguery in the last 20 years. This jerk is blaming the administration for a handful of immature, and sadistic National Guard reservists who decided to have some "fun" with prisoners. He proceeds to make the ludicrous and revolting claim that their actions were endorsed and part of policy.

Thanks for that clip of Al Gore's speech. I must say, as one who served in the Marine Corps during the Clinton years and had to get the anthrax shots courtesy of Clinton's administration, I am not a fan of Al Gore. He was nowhere speaking truth to power while he was in the White House himself. However, everything he says here is true. This is Al Gore at his finest. Maybe all politicians are much better out of office than they are in office. Also, when this comes from a former Vice President of the United States, that shows how bad the situation really is. And what an indictment of the media when a former Vice President speaking truth to power garners less media attention than does Britney Spears for getting pregnant and shaving her head.
