Alster- I may be no theological scholar on Islam, but there are areas, especially with it's founder that really make you wonder. Besides Islam borrowed some theology from Christianity and Judaism. The prophet lived a voracious, sexual life with his very young wife and his harem girls. He personally abused, castrated, flogged and killed rebellious slaves and from what I remember his ideals of human rights extended only to his own faithful followers of Islamic brotherhood (Ummah). The concept of a jihad seems a bit crude also. he also didn't seem to be questioned after gaining control. He captured many areas and many either had to become Muslim or die.

Now, I'm not trying to rip on the religion, I just disagree with it's theology. There are many areas in which it's founding really worries me. Of course, God gave us all free will, and we each have the ability to choose our own course in life. I see where yours is and you probably see where mine is.
