Crews working to stabilize Warnick Bluff, http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/Northwest/Bak... near milepost 30 on Mount Baker Highway (SR 542) will use a helicopter Tuesday, July 7, to fly logs and other material up the Nooksack River to the project site. Crews are in the process of stabilizing the bluff, which helps support the highway, to prevent further erosion.

The Washington Traffic Safety Commission, in cooperation with the Washington State Department of Transportation and the Washington State Patrol, designates safety corridors at the request of local communities with the goal of reducing fatal and disabling collisions on roadways with significant safety needs.
