Real music is not dead, MTV, BET and other networks dumb things down so far to the point where it is no longer music, it's just simplified mainstream garbage with a catchy phrase or beat that makes people want to go to a club, most of america does not have a passion for music.
The real musicians are still out there, when the passion is there and you do it for the love of the art, and not for the love of money and fame, the outcome will always be more pure than the latter.
