Voici une reprise du titre "Thriller" - que j'ai intégralement enregistré par ma voix, en a'cappella multipistes - sans aucun instruments, synthé, boite à rythme, ni même sampler.
Il n'y a donc que le son de ma voix - plus ou moins agrémenté, selon les pistes - de réverb, chorus, équalisation et/ou compression dynamique. Pour les parties qui se répètent, j'ai simplement utilisé la technique du "Looping".
J'ai réalisé ce projet non-commercial chez moi, uniquement à l'aide d'un PC portable, d'un micro, d'un casque et d'une webcam. Il s'agit juste d'un défit artistique, réalisé durant mes heures de loisir, dont le but est de surprendre mes proches ainsi que les internautes.
En espérant que vous preniez autant de plaisir à regarder et à écouter ce clip, que j'en ai eu à le réaliser.

Here is a remake of the song "Thriller" - that I have recorded entirely with my own voice, in multi-tracks a'cappella - without any instruments, synthesizers, beatbox or even sampler.
Therefore all you can hear is the sound of my voice - more or less livened up, depending on tracks - with reverb, chorus, equalization and/or dynamic compression. Regarding looping sequences, I've simply used the "looping" technique.
I accomplished this non-commercial project at home with only a laptop, a microphone, a pair of headphones and a webcam. It's just an artistic challenge, made during my spare time, with the intention of surprising my close circle of family and friends, as well as netsurfers.
I hope you'll have as much pleasure watching and listening to this clip, as I had in making it.

Voici une reprise du hit "You Rock My World" que j'ai intégralement enregistré a cappella en hommage au roi de la pop. Il n'y a aucun instrument, batterie, synthé, octavieur ni sampler. J'ai ajouté quelques effets (reverb, delay, compresseur, equalisation, noise gate et bass amp). J'ai mis 5 jours pour repiquer chaque voix, les enregistrer, les filmer et faire le montage. J'ai utilisé 38 pistes (guitare, basse, grosse caisse, caisse claire, 2 shakers, claps, 3 pianos, 3 claviers, 4 violons, 4 nappes de violons, 16 voix choeurs, 1 voix lead) mais certaines n'apparaissent pas dans la video dans un soucis de taille et de temps de montage... La plupart des voix se répètent j'ai donc fait des boucles (loops).
Montage réalisé webcam, carte son presonus FP10, micro sudio projects via Logic Pro, iMovie et Final Cut Express (Mac).
Pour ceux qui se poseraient la question : non il n'y a pas auto tune, melodyne, d'octavieurs ou vocodeurs.
J'espère que vous allez prendre du plaisir à regarder mon travail et que cela vous donnera l'envie de réécouter les tubes de Michael Jackson.

Hey everybody !
Here is a cover of "You Rock My World" that I recorded a cappella as a tribute to the King of Pop. There is nothing but my voice : no synths, sample, instrument or drums. Indeed I added some effects (reverb, delay, compressor, equalisation, noise gate & bass amp). I made this recording in 5 days (transcribe each voice, recording them and mix the video). It was fun to do but pretty hard sometimes...I used 38 tracks (guitar, bass, kick, snare, 2 shakers, claps, 3 pianos, 3 keyboards, 4 violins, 4 Ooo, 16 background vocals and 1 lead voice) but some of them won't appear in the videos because of size/time issue. Most of the tracks are repetitive so I used loops. I made this recording with my webcam, studio projects microphone, presonus FP10 soundcard, Logic Pro, iMovie and Final Cut Express (Mac).
NO AUTOTUNE/MELODYNE/VOCODER/OCTAVER.
I hope you will enjoy this work...And RIP Michael Jackson.
