All - The video contest is now over. We're running through the legal process before we can announce the winner - officially.

My mom is a firefighter so I respect all firefighters.That was awsome!!!!!!!

In a nutshell (get it?), here are my suggestions:

1. Communicate better. Email the Finalists directly. Do not use Twitter or YouTube comments for communication channels. Use those for announcements only.

2. Get a better voting app. Find one that tells you when you've voted too often. Ideally, it would require an email login to limit people trying to work the system.

3. Plan better. Once the contest starts, you're limited in what you can change mid-stream.. Try to think through what will be expected of you from an entrant's perspective. TEST YOUR VOTING APP BEFORE GOING LIVE.

I do appreciate the chance to compete in this contest, and making our videos was fun as hell. Thanks.

To say popularity is part of a contest regardless how it's designed makes no sense. YOU designed the contest, so YOU decide what percentage of the end result popularity will entail. End of story.

While I'd prefer that the Grand Prize was not 100% popularity, I understand why you made that decision. My issues are much more on the technical side of things.
