In my retirement and as a hobby I like to ride around Windsor Ontario on my bicycle and video shoot various points and places of interest.

MY DREAM: Windsor has always been an automotive manufacturing town and in my life time I would very much like to see a new, hydrogen, fuel-cell-based car works built in this city (I believe carried on-board fuel just may prove to be more viable in extreme temperature conditions). I would also like to see the name of such a unique corporation as being called 'Windsor Motors' or 'Windsor Motor Works' - 'VVV' - with the manufactured cars / engines produced being entirely Canadian owned and designed and totally manufactured from parts attainable from Canadian and Detroit feeder plants, providing the unions of the Detroit feeder plants act as the Canadian unions do and with both being paid at the same Canadian-dollar-rate whenever it comes to work being done on this particular product. Legislation would have to be introduced so as to control the unions for the better good of both the industry and the community. Such legislation would force Canadian unions to go along with the proposed salary and benefit packages, fairly offered, but subject to any (overall) competive standing. Such regulations would have to be followed and at all times. Any surplus profit would be ongoingly returned to the federal government and to it's investors. Surplus profit would be negotiable in a union's perspective and focused only within a set percentage of that surplus. Profit sharing would only be offered with respect given of the, then, current cost of living expenses and certain needed benefits of the workers. This sort of future would have no need for unions actually as all guide lines would have already been set and in a fair and thorough way. All cars / engines manufactured would be called 'WINDSOR' (example: the 'WINDSOR LaSalle' or the 'WINDSOR Vancouver'... etc., etc.) just as Dodge, Chrysler, Ford or General Motors products are similarly sub-named. These names of the various models of 'WINDSOR' would be derived from the names of communities, rivers and lakes, across Canada. No-no, no vanity here! I can not think of a more honest approach regarding a winnable marketing strategy. Think about it. A strategy where these names would simply and honestly reflect the community in which your car was purposefully manufactured and of a country in which you purposefully live. Canada must learn to compete cost effectively by audaciously standing in such a way, a real way, that would more than appear to be genuinely ingenious and highly creative. Canada does not need another dead 'Avro Arrow' project as part of any new and adventurous portfolio. Quebec has 'Bombardier', Ontario must have 'WINDSOR'. For this to happen Canada would need to pick the right numbers from within it's own imagination. Why not move on this, Canada? You already have all of the required criteria and all of the required talents from within your own collective self. Elect only a people who will strive for these values, your values, values of true common sense.

NOTE: If the city should ever accept the three, connected as one, alphabetical 'V's' logo, it would be my free, personal gift to the city of Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

PS: VVV - 'windsor MOTOR works'... hopefully, no cold feet this time !!
